I know it's been awhile since I updated, but there really hasn't been anything concrete to update on since the ultrasound last month.
Here's what has been going on so far. Pain, pressure, and being REALLY uncomfortable. *lol* Ok.. a bit more than that has been going on. My adopted daddy finally came over last week and took the pictures he's been wanting to take. He's not sure when I'll get copies back since he still has film in the cameras (he took colour and black and white), but as soon as he gets them developed I'll get my copies. Roy came home saturday evening, which was a huge relief for me, since now he's HERE... he's been slowly getting the rest of the things done that I wasn't able to do. Today he's putting the crib together, moving the love seat upstairs, and possibly starting in on the furniture moving in the living room... while he was on the ship he came up with an idea on how to rearrage the furniture to maximize on space. Heck, who am I to argue when the MAN wants to move the furniture?!?! *grin* My mom's casts are off her feet from her foot surgery, and things seem to be going well, altho one of her toes seems to want to go back to where it was, and her feet are very sore. She has an appt on the 12th to see what is going on and why they aren't healing the way they're supposed to. She and I have been calling each other every couple of days it seems like. She's really wishing she was here, but... it's just not possible at the moment. They're planning on driving down next month for the christening tho.
As for baby stuff... last friday they did a peek to see if I was dialating at all.. which I wasn't. They were checking to decide when they were going to induce, but since I hadn't dialated, they decided to wait, and are checking me again tomorrow. I'm assuming tomorrow I'll have a concrete answer since on tuesday Lovins said that YES they are definitely inducing. Thing is, since my due date is the following friday, I have a feeling we're looking at inducing possibly as early as this weekend, and probably no later than tuesday.
Everyone around here has been so supportive. It's been great. The floor people in the Poker Room at the casino we go to have threatened to lynch Roy if he doesn't bring baby pictures, and have even decided to give us the poker room discount on a hotel room one weeknight after I'm home so that I can stay in the hotel with Kym and they can all sneak over on their breaks to come see her. *chuckles* When they heard that both sets of parents might possibly be here for the chistening they said to come to them and they'd see what they could do about getting us free buffet meals for everyone... which, as you can imagine, is awesome of them!! Even my neighbours across the street (an older retired couple) showed up on my doorstep last week to make sure I was alright! *grin*
Now I have a question for all of you moms... Roy's been talking to the people at the casino, and whenever he says that we're planning on breastfeeding, they all laugh and say, yeah, we planned on doing that too but bottlefed after a week. Now, I know breastfeeding is painful at first, but I want to know how many of you breastfed, and why, and how many bottlefed and why. I make no judgements either way since I was bottlefed and I turned out just fine (relatively speaking... *grin*). I'm just curious, because it really surprised me that NO ONE that Roy talked to actually breastfed. I've always planned on doing a combination of the two, leaning more heavily towards breastfeeding.

PS: when I know the actual date of inducing, I'll let everyone know, and if I'm allowed to have a laptop in the hospital room I'll try to get onto msn at the very least and let people know so they can pass on the message after she's born.
