This Week's Gossip
Last Sunday morning it was sunny but cold, a brisk 37 degrees. I bundled up and headed for Central Park. I wasn't surprised when Rachel failed to show up and I had a big grin on my face when Rachel finally walked into the Palm Court to share our normal brunch. Of course, she wasn't willing to discuss her Saturday night massage, but as always, said nothing seriously really happened.
When she found out that Audrey had left the Four Seasons at around 11:00 pm, she was obviously concerned. She opened her cell phone and dialed Audrey's number. I had to laugh as I saw Audrey walking up to my table as she closed her cell phone.
Rach was all over Audrey since she was still wearing the same dress as last night. Audrey handle the situation really well, countering every question Rach fired at her by responding with similar questions regarding Rachel's sex life. Since neither was willing to admit any indiscretions, I just sat there and laughed.
I spent the rest of the day over at Diego's mansion, watching the Giants game with the Dallas Cowboys. That ended in another disaster, a painful 23-20 loss when the new Dallas kicker booted a field goal with one second left. The Giants did try a few trick laterals on the kick-off, but to no avail. Four losses in the last four games. Things are suddenly looking bleak. I did my best to comfort Diego, which did distract him for an hour or so, but I know he didn't sleep well on Sunday night.
Of course, I attended the Friends play in Diego's Creative Arts Theatre, the place where he supports Rachel Tatellio's plays. It was funny as hell, particularly with Mike and Aspen in the audience dressed up as Joey's Nemesis and Joey's Mentor. I knew that before the evening was over, we'd hear a loud, resounding SMACK!
The New York Giants are in Carolina this week to face the Panthers and I told Diego he'll have to go alone. I just can't stand to be around him when they lose. He smiled and took Ana Demetrius. The stinker must be using that to try and get in her pants. The good news is she took Lucas with her. Deal with that, Diego. Grinning a bit.
On Saturday night, Rachel and I took a taxi over to Brooklyn to spend the evening at Mahoney's Irish Pub. Jamie Peterson provided the entertainment, this time in a gorgeous white Gucci dress that clung to her body as if it was painted on. She shared the use of the stage with two sexy strippers, Marie, with a pair of huge fake breasts and Monique, who had little breasts amazingly similar to Rachel's. I have to admit, Monique looked sexier, but it was Jamie that stole the show. I have to congratulate Denny for those crowd pleasers.
Declan Mulqueen and Mike Miller both showed up late, but Mike won the prize taking Rachel, Jamie, Declan's sister and me back to Manhattan in a taxi. A five some, so to speak? At least Mike paid the cab fare and got to spend the night at Rachel's penthouse suite.
I spent the rest of the evening alone, finishing this column and faxing it in.
Entertainment
This Wednesday night, December 13th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Seinfeld - The Parking Garage. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom.
