This Week's Gossip
It was my pick of Butler over Maryland in the NCAA March Madness tournament that gnawed at Diego's sports minded ego last Sunday, but he paid up as a gentleman, doing exactly as I pleased. He's a good sport, as long as he winds up satisfied with the results. It did get a good laugh out of Rachel at the Palm Court as we shared our normal Sunday brunch.

Rachel sat in the back row of the courtroom with Bridget Martin and me as we watched the continuing trial of Charlie Black. Nelle Porter kept hammering away on the rape of Amy Bilson, but Diane Neal did a decent job of rattling Amy on the stand. Diane also offset Chris Meloni's testimony with one statement, "In other words you were merely preventing what MIGHT have been a rape scene." I can't wait to see Audrey Tatellio on the stand next week with both Nelle and Diane grilling her.

On Tuesday night I played Elaine Benes in Rachel's Seinfeld play. Tim played Jerry, Rachel played George, TB played Kramer, Rafe played Joel Horneck and Kate was the Narrator. We had a fun time as usual.

Gina Reynolds brought me some photos she shot on the streets of Rafe Michaels on the city streets with a man in what appeared to be only a coat. Under closer scrutiny that man turned out to be new Genovese Construction Inc. employee, Luigi Gaza. She cautiously followed them to a first Floor Flat at 410 Prospect Ave, but chose not to enter.

On Thursday I finally sat down at my computer and started the book I've been promising to right since I became the gossip columnist for The New York Times. It will be more of an autobiography but I still haven't decided whether to use real names or write it as a novel without the real names. There are things I know and plan to include that might just cost me my life. The are people in this world that have a lot to hide.

Most of the data I'll be using is included in my private diary/journal. I keep that carefully locked up in a place where nobody else can ever read it.

I spent last night having dinner with Rachel at the Four Seasons Supper Club. Since neither of us had a date we went back to her place to watch a movie on DVD, Inside Man with Denzel Washington. It was a clever movie where the supposed bad guys rob a bank in New York City, but actually have other secret plans that I won't mention here for those that decide to read it.

Rachel admitted that she still hasn't had that massage with Eoin Ryan, so on my way out around eleven thirty I stopped at the Carnegie Hill Spa to make her an appointment as a gift. That way she would be hard pressed to avoid the massage.

There was nobody at the reception desk so I walked down the hall looking for Shasta, Eoin , Jason or Tammi. I was surprised to find the door of the number twelve massage room slightly ajar. I recognized the voices of Eoin, Tammi and Lauren Bianchi, the new manager of Big Apple Escorts.

Instead of just walking in, I froze and watched. What I saw brought a nice little knowing smile to my lips. There before my eyes were the three of them hard at it. Lauren said she was about to leave, to let Eoin finish the job with Tammi, so I hurried off, heading home to get this week's column faxed off to my editor.

Entertainment
This Tuesday night, March 27th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Friends - The Flashback. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom.
