wren  whent fishing before crossing the river ot tears. or as she likes to call it the river of DOOM!!! she caught 40 fish cleaned and smoked them. she passed them out among the wagons made  the kennel wagon ready to go. then she set to the task of  crossing the ROT (river of doom!) the kennel wagon became stopped near the northern bank when the team was tangled in a old harnessing  the harnessing had to be cut but the Kennel wagon made it to the safety of the north shore! once on shore she greased axels and wheel hubs, checked the team over carefully, and tended some of the wounded.

the Orphan Wagon and much of the bosk team survived intact, crossing the River of Tears, as did this slave. the converted heavy freighter was ordered to the right flank of the columns and thus missed much of the catastrophe hitting the wagons to the left. still, their position was perilous. all the Wagon Boys accompanied the wagon thru the raging river until Master Muhuli's kailla raised and then went tumbling over. thankfully he managed to grab at bosk harnesses and save himself from drowning, though he was not without injury and kiah would later hear he made it to the medical wagon. Master Seth instantly, seemlessly, took over command of their unit and without a skipped heartbeat, kiah had a new Master to answer to. such is the life of a Tuchuk Warrior as well as a Tuchuk slave. one Warrior did die right before kiah's eyes, though she remembers the sound of his head slammed into the side of the O.W. more than the brief sight of his helmet and chains. that helmet is safely stored in the wagon seat for proper return to his loved ones, should she be able to find out who he was beyond a TUCHUK WARRIOR. kiah had the unfortunate luck of finding that well known large submerged rock from migrations past. fortunately it's impact was minimal and it marked for those crossing behind. safely across and out of the way, kiah forced herself to continue moving, as exhaustion of unknown levels continued to devour her from inside out. it was keep moving or collapse. bosk were checked, with a few not sound enough to continue on. with gratitude for their efforts and finally their lives given, their migration is over. the crossing was not without mistake or regret but ultimately, she seems to have gotten the job done (that being for the Free to decide). the River of Tears did live up to it's name. more than once kiah added her own to it.

(she forgot how utterly tiresome the 10 post to enter the river, 20 to cross and 10 to exit, truly is. add in the ST and it was everything and more you would expect the River of Tears to be. she had great luck with the dice last night! she need to write a note to herself ====dear kiah, stop giving the ST ideas====lol.)

cleaned the vulo coop of dragons lair, dryed out Masters wagon, gathered fresh dry dung, filled the water barrels, cleaned the wagon, did the laundry, tended to the saddle fished out of the river,

kiah drove the Orphan Wagon home.

she took a sentimental journey, during the last leg of migration, recalling experiences, both good and bad.

kiah sought out the Memorial Area of our new Camp. the visit was brief but she felt a need to acknowledge and honor it's existence.

jade had the honor of serving Mistress Izee and Master Branden last evening.  she also spent time in the medical wagon helping to cheer up and attend to the injuries of Master Tristan as well as other Masters in the wagon.

kiah was gifted the company and conversation of Mistress Izee. while originally adamant in her denial, Mistress's idea that kiah has a beautiful singing voice, was planted and remains on her mind.
