New Year's Eve ROCKED!!  I'm still recovering!  I couldn't get a hold of Robert, I don't know if he's just been super busy or has been avoiding my calls, I don't know.  Hopefully it isn't the latter.  Anyway, I grabbed up my girls Cin and Pixie and even got a hold of a few celeb clients-turned-friends such as Courtney Love, Tommy Lee and my old friend Ami who was in New York visiting from Miami and we all went down to Times Square.  We got there around 5 and by then it was already packed.

I don't think I drank that much before in years.  I was so wasted that even Courtney told me she was impressed.  Tommy Lee refused to let me drive home, so he just told us all we could crash with him at his loft, which was only a block or so away.

You gotta love friends in high places.

Still, I wished that Robert was able to join us, but I'm thinking that he just got swamped with work.

Fortunately we had all decided to close the shop on New Year's Day and today so we can all recover from our hangovers from hell, so we'll reopen tomorrow afternoon.  We should all be quasi coherant by then.

December 29, 2007

So up until now I had been living a quiet existance in Queens.  I had my shop, my girls and my own little world there doing what I do best...  Inking as many souls as I can.

Until recently.

I met Miss Davis a few months ago while I was grabbing a latte at Starbucks.  She was interested in my tattoos and asked about them.  We got to talking and I told her that I had my own shop, High Voltage Tattoos.  Miss Davis asked where it was and I told her that it was in Queens in an abandoned warehouse that I bought from the city and rehabed.

I hadn't seen or heard from Lindsay after that for months and I just figured that she had fallen into the cracks of New York and that sooner or later, I'd run into her.  After all, The Big Apple really isn't all that big.

And then the other night, Tammi Hanlin walked in.  Tammi had been told about my shop from Lindsay.  Sweet!  Lindsay's drumming up business for me.  Tammi was interested in a butterfly on her ankle.  I got to drawing and told her to come back sometime today and I'd ink her.  That night Robert Jackson also came in.

Holy shit...

This man is sex on legs.  He's one smooth piece of chocolate that I would easily kill for.  Not only is he smoking hot, but he's also very sweet and intelligent.

He's also very slick.

Turns out Mr. Jackson is VP of CitiBank...  The bank who gave me the loans to open up High Voltage.  To say that I immediately felt awkward is the understatement of the year.  Robert quickly put my feelings of awkwardness at ease though and we actually had a great conversation.  I'm looking forward to see where this goes.  I haven't been with a guy since Orbi and I imploded, however, to be honest, Orbi and I were doomed from the beginning.  It might be nice to have a decent guy in my life for a change.
