This Week's Gossip
Last Sunday I was up early in the Hyatt Regency Dallas suite with Diego. We had breakfast in the hotel with Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys. He took us on a tour of the new stadium being constructed.

While the Cowboys are building a stadium befitting the 21st century, they have worked hard to preserve the tradition of this storied franchise. And nothing says "Dallas Cowboys" more than the infamous hole in the roof at Texas Stadium, distinctly recognizable from with those blimp TV shots from high above during a night game. The new stadium might have a retractable dome to make this a multi-use building, but the open roof will emulate Texas Stadium's famed hole in the roof - recognized world wide.

I sat up there and watched our Giants actually beat the Cowboys, 21 to 17, and advance to the NFC Championship game next Sunday with the Green Bay Packers. The game was exciting as hell and I was up on the edge of my seat throughout the game, even standing during the last few minutes.

On Wednesday night I headed for the Four Seasons where I met Ben Bravio for a drink. I was sure it would lead to more, something we've both enjoyed periodically. Tammi was already there with Samantha and Eoin and Sam was dancing with Eoin when I walked in. That sexy Eoin can be such a tease and I could tell that Sam was enjoying it.

Ben arrived a few minutes later, we ordered our drinks from Gino who was tending bar and chatted with Tammi a bit. I'd heard that Tammi had helped Eoin deliver an envelope to Eva Macy on Tuesday night. I'm pretty sure where that probably led. Tammi just grinned when I mentioned it. Enough said!

We were surprised when Elspeth Yancey walked in, ordering food at the bar. Tammi must not have been aware that Elspeth married Robert Yancey because she introduced her to Eoin as Elspeth Wise.

The tension was still there between El and Ben. They spoke casually, but you could just feel the "ice" in each word used in their short conversation.

I asked El if  she was working on the Russian situation that erupted in the Plaza Hotel a few weeks ago, but she said no, Jeff was handling the major case load for her while she worked on a case involving a child.

Eoin left first, saying he'd be waiting at her place with Tammi following shortly thereafter. There is no question they are practically living together. Ben said he had an early meeting at the new Yankee Stadium Project on Thursday morning, so we left together, no doubt annoying Elspeth a bit.

Diego and I boarded a plane Saturday morning and flew to Milwaukee where we were met by his friend Phil Bonnano. Phil's limo took us to his building in downtown Milwaukee. The lower floors of the Bonnano Tower are where his business, Bonnano Industries, is located. The entire top floor is where Phil and his beautiful young wife, Sara, reside in their penthouse apartment. The views are spectacular in every direction. During  lunch I realized that Bonnano Industries is indeed, a miniature version of the firm Diego runs in New York City.

We enjoyed lunch there served by Phil's servants that included one of the prettiest brunettes I've ever seen. After lunch his limo took all four of us north to Green Bay where Phil had made reservations for us at the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson. It was very quaint and the top floor suite had a small kitchen, a beautiful large living room with a stone fireplace and two large bedrooms with king size beds.

I used the computer in the small den to finish this column and fax it off to my editor, Art Fisher. It will be very cold on Sunday, with temperatures below zero and wind chill temps in the minus twenties or worse, so Sara brought along clothing I can wear during the Packer/Giants game at Lambeau Field. Of course serious wagers were made and we'll have a great time I'm sure.

Entertainment
This Tuesday night, January 22nd at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Friends - The Sisters. I'll be there in case she needs me to cover a role.
