My Friend

Among the mountains
way out west,
Your ashes are scattered and
you laid to rest.
Back to the land that
you loved to roam,
To watch over this place,
that is your home.

Rest well, my friend, but your
work is not done,
For you left behind a wife,
a daughter and son.
They will look to your spirit
to guide their way,
Through each moment, each
second of every day.

Thank you for letting me
share a part of your life,
I am richer for having known
you and Mar, your wife.
I take comfort in knowing when
my time on earth is through,
You and I can visit that mountain
and share a chat or two.

With love,
BB

Special thanks to Spank Master for helping provide me with some of the pictures and to Lord Claymoor for the poem on the opening page. And a very special thank you to Buddha for hosting this memorial. Bob will live on in hearts forever.
