Well met, traveler, and welcomed to Mistledale, you are about to enter the Capitol of Mistledale, Ashabenford, it is set in the world of Faerun (Forgotten Realms). We are pleased you wish to visit, but ask you to read the rules before entering, and that you respect the rules.

Mistledale has always been the lucky dale . blessed with fertile land, protected from foes such as the Zhentil Keep and Sembia by intervening dales or the Elven Court, and occupying excellent trade routes between larger areas like Cormyr and the Moonsea." As you come up the Moonsea Ride road, you see a town coming into view, over the rolling hills and lush farmlands. There is bit one main road, with smaller ones making way to here and there, there is a signpost up ahead, it reads, "Well met traveler, and be welcomed to Mistledale". There is a fork in the road up ahead, one stays straight, taking you to the shops and inns, the other, to the Manor of Lady Skylar. On either side, as well as before and after, the great forest of Cormanthor, steeped heavily of trees, looms out as far as the eye can see.

Mistledale Ruling Factors

A Chosen Council of Surrounding Dales make up the council with the 6 members, and lead. Any and all actions are performed with the council as vote.

First and foremost

This is a Limited Kill/No Capture/No Collar room. Any whom already own slaves, are more than welcome to come, but we do have laws for the treatment of individuals. Ones here whom wish to serve may do so, as "Indentured Servants" but are allowed, if they have the capitol, to purchase their freedom.

Indentured Servants

As we don't have servants of the sexual nature for room use, please keep avitars respectful, sexy, sensual are one thing, total nudeness and raunchy are something else, if you seek to be an Indentured Servant we would welcome the rp and you with open arms.

Limited Kill Means

Limited Kill means - that if there is a role play where a death is to be involved between players, it must be agreed upon prior to the commencement of battle, by all parties involved OOC to prevent any misunderstandings. Combat are to be as follows, melee is to be done in a minimum of 3 posts per player, in each post you can take 2 defenses and 3 attacks. You must allow the other to react, and counteract. No force postings allowed. Any battles fought to death are under ruling by the Council. Spell battles, you must name the spell being used. It has a one spell per posting rule, and again, allow the other to respond. Also Spell battles have a 3 post min. In any combat, initiative, is determined by the last number in the time stamp, the higher the number, the first to go, with a stamp of "0" being 10.

Magic

Magic is allowed in limited fashions. These lands are magic rich, and being as such, magic is very apparent. Please just discuss the magic options with the council.

Visitors

There is no God-Modding, and no Free Form, players whom wish to enter to just observe, we ask that you place an ~O~ at the end of your name. We also ask that you take a name, so that we may address you, with something more than "hey you". Now the main objective for this room is to have a good place to RP, and have fun. With this in mind, and following the rules, it can and will be just that.

Rape and Sexual Conduct

There will be no Rape/Sexual assault RP allowed, this is an adult themed room, but this is a want of ours. Lastly, no child av, and no child characters, all children will be NPC (Non-Player Character). Please keep all sexual contact to PM's we are Not BDSM and we are not Gor.

Major Role Play Events

Any Major rp should be brought to council before being entered into, by Major we mean wars and destruction of lands and such, we don't wish to dictate your rp and we won't, if we are in a set rp please feel free to observe and if you wish to be a vialable player enter in keeping in mind what is taking place, we like it realistic so things and people unexpected happening make it more real.

Love, Marriage and Babies

We know love blooms at times and we don't wish to keep you from enjoying your time, but we respectfully ask that you at least have a court time of a month before being wed... getting to know your future mate is half the fun. Please keep pregnancy to a realist time frame, you don't announce your pregnant and have your baby 2 weeks later a good rule of thumb role play and time line wise is 1 month = 3 months so a rp pregnancy should be minimal 3 months, longer if you prefer.

Disputes and OOC

If there is a dispute, Please keep things in the room peaceful and respectful, seek out council asap so that things can be decided and put to rest, we are adults, we can and will conduct ourselves as such, please keep OOC to messengers and or PM. Please do Not cross realms if it happened in Gor it stays there, do not bring OOC to IC.

Seeking Membership

All those wishing to become members are asked to seek out Lady Skylar, make your requests known, you will be asked to spend some time in Mistledale role playing with the members and you will be asked for a Bio and Character Sheet(for those wishing to use Magic).

You will be asked to make your Petition for membership to our members boards and your bio to be posted there too. Upon approval you will be given keys to the city, when you have passed the School of Magic (please see the web site for this) you will be granted tags of such.

Honor, Loyalty and Character

It is expected that all Members will not only be interested in, but will work towards, the continued growth and support of this home. This includes spending time in Mistledale as well as reading and posting to the boards regularly. researching your character is also recommended. Learning of Mistledale and the surrounding areas will also help you succeed in knowing your home and having great rp. There is a wealth of Information we have researched and placed on the boards.

We will ask that you are Loyal to this home, and be honorable in your actions towards and behind the faces of the Ruling factors...but will not ask you to take an oath to Us or Mistledale, this home was founded in a need to grow and move on, and we know that sometimes things happen that make it necessary to do so.

Avatars and Codes

We will enforce avatar limits for those on dial up who are slowed by big pics. our limits are 350 high and 500 wide and we ask that there be no more than 4 lines of codes, if you wish to use mouse overs and such and don't know how ask and we will help.

Differing languages

We know many will come from all back grounds and ethinics, and have different languages, but please be respectful for those unsure of such to decipher for those not knowing your language.

The Theme

This is a Medieval home set in 1373 Dalereckoning, please keep this in mind, and though the Manor does have a boiler room with indoor plumbing and water, keep in mind, no electricy, no modern marvels, cell phones, guns and such.. Mistledale is located in Faerun, The Forgotten Realms.

Any harassment of players will get you booted or gagged. No means No, if asked not to PM that means do NOT PM.

Out of character info will not be used in role playing, and please keep real time information to a minimum in public.

All WEBMAZE® Rules Will be followed as well as Home rules.

In Closing

As you see, we really don't have a bunch of rules persay, as we wish all to come and enjoy without worry of rules being broken, this is more to inform of our ways, we ask that you know and understand these rules and respect them, we wish to keep things to a minimal so all can have fun and enjoy the nature of the character they have created and take it to its fullest possible role play. How ever in time as things change these rules are subject to change, with council vote.
