Every once in a while, I find there is need to make a general post to remind our slaves (and the Free) of a few things:
- slaves should check the IC board for any new posts on possible roleplay and conditions. For example, you don't want to be posting how cold you are when we are having a horrible heat wave.
-slaves entering the room should do so with at least 20 posts of history so they can get an idea of what is going on as far as roleplay, where people might be, who is currently being served.
-please try not to disrupt as slave's serve or bring another slave into your serve. When you are serving, your attention is to be solely on the Free Person. To do otherwise is disrespectful to the person you are serving.
-though this is not totally clarified in the pages,
all ooc and pm conversation from a slave stops the minute that slaves kneels at a Free's feet until that Free releases them. The
ONLY exception to this is when a slave needs help with the serve. Only then can you pm someone to ask a question.
-don't carry on pm or ooc conversations with a slave that is serving. the
ONLY exception to this is to find out who still needs serving, or to get help during a serve.
- wait until you know where someone is before approaching them to serve.
-If you are doing a chore and a Free needs to be served, try to wrap up or interrupt the chore to see to the Free. You can return to the chore later.
Conduct
Please review the courtesy and conduct section of the pages. I have seen way to many slaves interrupting the conversations of the Free, including offering to serve. The proper way would be to kneels quietly and wait to be recognized by the Free Person before asking to serve or delivering a message or whatever.
