GOOD NEWS!!!

I found out today that I got a teaching job!  I'll be teaching middle school music.  It's been a long time coming, and I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.  In-service starts TOMORROW morning!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!! I have been hoping to hear this news from you, I wish you all the luck with the kids you will be teaching, but if you are like me, this is one subject that you love and that will show through in your words as you teach a new generation what music is and can be. Congrats. I've just started taking guitar lessons again recently (bought an ESP M-10 and have my eye on a Washburn Nick Catanese signature Flying V for downtuned metal goodness), so having someone else to bug with music questions will be nice, haha

Thank you so much for the well-wishes.  I walked into my classroom for the first time this morning and almost walked back out...LOL....It hadn't been occupied in 6 months and its in the basement...an old bus garage....dead ladybugs, cicadas and *shudders*....spiders...tons of spider webs and paper still on the floor from last year...*sigh*...I spent the day just trying to get rid of the creepy crawlies.  AND the a/c hadn't been on in 6 months either.  This weekend, I hit the curriculum!!

And Gorfang, any help I can give you.....just ask!!!

Oh I see you and I geeking out at next years gathering over music, as I haven't had anyone, other than Ray, to do such with in a very long time. Which reminds me, I need to start searching eBay for another silver clarinet, since my last one was in our storage unit when it was auctioned off, along with my flute and clarinet I was given for my 16th birthday. Though I think the true lost was the nearly 70 year old silver clarinet I got for a steal on eBay for only $35 and it worked too.

Congrats again, Sis. Sorry to hear you had to deal with the creepy crawlies, ask Rags or Raz what my reaction to spiders are. LOL -huggggggggggggggggggles-
