I am so over this bitch, just wish should would leave town now and stop causing what feels like heart attacks each time the sirens go off summoning the damn fire department, especially when we are in a Tornado Warning. I hope those who have already had Irene visit you, are doing okay, for those who are still waiting for her arrival, or just getting a taste of her now, hope for a reduction to a Tropical Storm. I swear the next time a hurricane is heading our way, I am so having Ray get a moving truck, pack ourselves up and get the heck out of dodge, because I am not sure I can handle the stress that this storm is causing myself and I know it doesn't help Ray to have to watch me slightly freak out. The main cause for my anxiety is the high winds and of course the tornadoes that have been spotted all along the coastal regions, as well as a few that have made it inland, but they didn't last long.
Another problem I am facing is that our room feels like an oven, we pulled our a/c window unit out when the winds were sustained at 35 mph, and the power going on and off several times within the last 4 hours. Luckily we haven't been without power for longer than 5 minutes, but that gut feeling I have been trying to ignore is telling me that we will more than likely go out for a much longer period of time once the eye wall of Irene gets closer and the wind speeds really kick into gear.
I am going to head out, I need to check on the radar again and the lights are starting to flicker, so it's time for me to skedaddle and see about heating up some of the leftover London Broil cooked up last night after soaking it in Worcestershire sauce overnight, after he stabbed the 3.5 lbs slab of meat with a fork many many times, to ensure that the meat was able to soak up the beautiful flavor of the Worcestershire sauce.
