Today was my first program as the new Music teacher. My 5th - 8th graders were AWESOME!!
We had over 60 veterans and their families in attendance...and when the entire student body, the teachers and staff, and the veterans and other guests stood and sang "God Bless the USA", it brought tears to many eyes - including those of my students. I think they learned a little more about sacrifice today....at least I pray they did.
To all the Veterans who served selflessly, I offer my sincere thanks for the sacrifice you AND your families have made for the freedom and the values that we hold so dear.
