Needless to say... but BIG MISTAKE!!!!!
With his talent and experience, the question is where wouldn't he fit in. He can still perform, and is still a great asset. His position helps with the age factor, as he is not involved in in major impacts every down. We both know injuries happen to rookies as well as vets. This is both good and bad for his age. He... or anyone his age will likely not bounce back from an injury as quickly as a player half his age, but on the plus side, his experience playing with pain and injury is an asset over younger players. Been there done that and he has all the tee shirts to prove it.
He is also a treasure trove of experience, and has no problem passing on what he has learned through the years.
He is certainly a team leader and a great morale booster. Unless he ends up on some team that has ego issues, even as a new addition he will have an impact on the team in this department. His "Never say die" attitude and experience will come into play. He knows it only takes one play to change a games entire momentum, etc. But anyway Puddin, being rivals through the years you already know this.
If he can't wear the black and gold, I would personally like to see him get on a team that still plays smashmouth football optimised by a decent aerial attack much like the Steelers under Noll or Cower. A younger team, a growing team with many younger players mixed with a few older vets... not has beens... but just older and experienced vets who can still play, but more importantly will use the advice offered by the vets mixed with their younger bodies and become greats in their own rights.
Now love Hines or hate him... all team favorites set aside, I doubt many will be able to honestly say that Hines has not been a star player and standout through the years... and a strong "go to" guy when you need a great play. His record states this as fact.
