Welcome home, song!!
I am selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes. I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best...~~~Marilyn Monroe~~~

welcome home song
I won't promise to be your friend forever, because I won't live that long. But let me be your friend as long as I live.

I have been informed by a brother, that song has decided to shelve her character here and seek her luck elsewhere.

It is a shame that people shelve, or so they tell others, yet do not inform their room leader.

This is NOT the proper way to do thngs.

At any rate, I wish the home she went to all the luck in the world with her. They will need it.

I stand corrected.

I checked my mail and found notification there.

A word of advice;

This is still not sufficient notice. People come to Gor for Gor. If not, then go elsewhere. If anyone finds themselves no longer happy with their decision in home, station etc... speak to your Room Leader, M/M, etc.

There are many ways in keeping as Gorean as possible and still be able to move on. If a free, tell your Room Leader what is wrong. Communicate. Leave on good terms as much as possible.

If a slave, communication is even important. Trades, barters, sales, etc can be easily worked out and even promotes good RP.

Just deciding, "oh, I don't like this anymore, so I will pack up and just go elsewhere shit is utter BS no matter how you wish to look at it. Even becoming a runaway, posting and RPing it properly would be more in keeping with Gor than this shelving crap.

If you get killed for it, oh well. You have lost nothing. You pretty sunk any hopes of reviving a so called shelved character anyway by not RPing it and seeing it through. Shelved or not, that char, by virtue of not RPing out a situation, is stuck in the situation they bailed from.

RP the situation out. When your char is clear of its situation by virtue of good RP... then would be the time to shelve and start fresh if that is your wish.

Yes... it takes effort. Yes, it takes forethought. Yes it takes dedication to Gor to do it as correctly as possible. If you are not in Gor to do it correctly, why waste everyone's time in the first place.

Sure... its your dime, your RP time... I have heard this lamer's line a thousand times. It is as much BS now as it was the first time it was ever spewed from someones lips.

What of the other people whose time and dime you have just shit on? They have an investment also. They invested in you and the RP.

I don't want anyone in my home that does not wish to be there and be part of the home. They become the weak link. I know there are others out there who still hold to this ideal.

"Once Tuchuk, always Tuchuk" Wherever you go from there.
"Where none walks alone"
Even "Honor among Thieves"

And I know there are other rooms holding such feelings. They will help with options. They have good people in them and care about Gor. If they did not care about you or others, they would not have the rooms and families they do.

Disney, Sesame Street, and Romper Room already have their place in history secured. They do NOT need you adding to it.

Do it as Goreanly as possible, or don't bother doing it at all.

(A rant in general. End rant.)
