War continues.

The wagons are snowbound though the snow has finally eased. There is however high winds and drifting. The wagons remained in place yet again.

Borric and Juliana were companioned as it was his wish to be on the Plains where he has spent much of his life. Juliana agreed, subservient to his wishes. Their wagon is with us and they shall share in our pleasures and pains until he decides it is time to move on.

Tend the stock well! Stay warm and eat well, for once we are able to move again... there may be little time to do so in peace.

Enemy tracks were observed a good distance from the wagons, but no actual contact was made.

I do recommend thawing the snow and bathing while time allows. Many of you are not only ripe. You downright stink!!! I intend to bathe as well, so do not go into shock.

End Report.

*S*  Congrats to Borric and my Sis...If I hadn't been in rehearsal the last two days I would have attended.

*Whispers to NS*...Sis, did you see that a hammer was placed in Julies lap during the feast?  *Big Innocent Eyes*

War continues.

The snow is finally stating to melt as warm temperatures return. It is not yet what we hope for, but it is much better than the past few days.

Though now that the snow is melting, we once again face the impending mud and the strain that places upon the stock and wagons.

I intend to hold the wagons one more day in place before w move on. Patrols are out and I am awaiting their return for accurate and most recent enemy sightings.

Bosk from the main herd are to be slaughtered, and Tuchuk shall dine well before we move out come the morrow, based upon what the reports foretell.

Bathe, eat, relax, and tend the stock. Go over your wagons and tack so there will be no surprises when we move.

War continues.

The wagons remained in place, but shall be ready to move this day. Make sure they are or be left behind.

The weather is improving with the snow from the stormfront melting away. Soft ground, however, is left in its retreat. This will make the going difficult to say the least. Regardless... we move.

Reports have come in and updated enemy positions have been noted. All free shall remain armed at all times.

War continues.

The wagons kept moving all through the night, only slowing pace to provide a moving rest. Much ground was covered and we have reached solid ground once again. Hopefully no further weather fronts will affect the ground or impede our march. Weather and ground permitting, there should only be the enemy to contend with.

I expect to stop soon and fully rest the stock and have hot food prepared.

The sky is clear and the temperatures are in the high 70's to low 80's.

Reports of increased enemy movement has been noted. This comes as no surprise, as we do move ever closer to Turia.

War, it simply is.

In the early hours, reports were given of contact, sightings of small groups of men.  Most likely scouts ascertaining our remaining numbers and assessing our weaknesses.  I have sent a contingent of warriors to double up the perimeter guard.  Their rotations have been halved so that they may gain more rest and time with their families and so that we will have fresher men on the perimeter.  I have also dispatched an Or of scouts of my own, lightly encumbered for swifter more silent movement ahead.  I will also ride point with the Scouts.  All are well trained with their hornbows.

The wagons are showing signs of wear and will need further repairs.  The bosk teams, though leaned out as the Ubar pointed out, are being fed as often as they can without causing great sickness.  My Sister tends to them as often as she can.  I fear she has assimilated my own bosk headedness.

The weather is holding.  All are resting and eating as they have time for.  If there are any more skirmishes, I will send a runner back with an updated report.

Nothing Further.

THE WAR IS OVER!

The war came to an end when Tuchuk broke through the Turian line and breached the main gate. Turians manning the walls were unable to lay down fire due to their own forces being mixed with our own. A heavy toll was paid on both sides.

In a nutshell, 2/3 of all Turian Government goods and assets have been taken. The citizens of Turia are to be treated fairly. The Warriors of Turia have stacked their arms outside the main gate but have been permitted to retain their swords so long as knotted in peace.

The cause of the war was an inner political mess created by the Administrator's Woman. The Woman was face stripped and executed by my Ubara's hand and left to die in the street, aided by none.

All Commanders and their Seconds were impaled upon the stakes in the area used for the love war. Their Thirds were spared as well as Turia's First Sword. The Administrator is assisting and being very cooperative. All properties and assets of those executed have also been confiscated as well as that of the First Sword, with his estate being the staging area for goods being recorded and inventoried.

The tarn of Turia are to be slain save for those too young yet or fully trained. All tharlarion are to be slain except for 1,000. Many of these such measures are intended to diminish Turia's war capabilities without leaving them fully without means of defense.

Martial law is in effect for Turia so long as it is occupied by Tuchuk. Merchants, vendors, and Artisans of skill may be permitted out after dark to tend to the needs of Tuchuk purchases. All other citizens shall be off the streets by dark or be turned over to the Torturer to discover why they are out.

The wagon repair yard is busy repairing and building new wagons lost during the conflict and during the march South. If you have need, get it done as soon as possible.

Tend to minimal chores, but the slaves may also enjoy their stay in Turia. Any free requiring coin may seek out myself or my Ubara for equitable terms. Slaves may be issued ten copper from my Ubara or myself in order to visit the baths, salons, etc, and to purchase things they might feel needed... IE... soaps, perfumes, etc to catch that certain free's eye and senses.

I still expect some casualties on both sides due to some longer range patrols possibly not yet receiving news of the hostilities ceasing. I do NOT however, expect this to go on for long.

Try to avoid navigating Turia alone. Travels in groups of two or more just to be on the safe side, or take an escort (NPC).

Tend to business, barter and purchase your goods, enjoy the time spent in Turia for it may be a long hot summer.

No caravan coming into or out of Turia will be looted. Allow business to proceed as much as possible. All caravans entering or leaving WILL be stopped and inspected for contraband goods which could assist Turian in rebuilding it's military muscle. When we leave, there will be three hands we will not raid caravans, but when that time is up, all caravans are once again fair game.

Turia will once again be permitted to take up arms when the last Tuchuk has left.

DO NOT FORCE FURTHER INCIDENT, but if pressed, do what is necessary.

We moved out of Turia tonight and proceeded at a slow pace.  Most of the wounded returned to duty against Healer's wishes, which made it even more slow going than normal.  Those that realized that they could ride on Kaiila back without nearly killing themselves with pain returned to the medwagons or retreated to their own wagons to heal further, including the Ubara's OWN who returned to their chamber in DRAGONSLAIR.

Even though many are a bit worse for wear, the stock and wagons are in great shape. In order to place distance between us and Turia and to reach our summering lands sooner, I kept the column moving throughout the night pausing only for short breaks to rest and water the stock before pressing on.

On a personal note, I had to laugh as Tuchuk left Turia. Three of Ubara's Own... as yet identified with all certainty, managed to make off with the Administrator's three Daughters upon their mounts. I have a feeling who they were, but will not be entering their identities in the log. That is for my Ubara to do if she so wishes.

Take hope my family, for we are almost home.

The wagons halted among the area of springs for the night. The stock was tended and left to graze in place. No meals were prepared on a large scale by the commissaries, and all were left to their own devices for food and drink. The important aspect is rest. Tuchuk will move again come the morrow and should reach its summering lands where camp will be built and settled into. Then... finally... peace and life as usual if all goes well... for a change.

All is well.
