Pillage and Tribute from Turia
« on: April 13, 2014, 09:09:53 PM »
Rags asked me to start this thread where we can post what items were obtained from Turia.

From the treasury we obtained 8 stone of gold, and 12 stone of gold worth of gems and other hard assets.  At the Ubar's instruction 1/2 of this will be sent by tarn messenger to Rayah, to finance rebuilding The Pointe.

Additionally, the property of the Administrator's woman has been transferred to Nightstorm's ownership, and a great deal of luxury items were confiscated from the estates of dead Turians, and will be distributed as rewards to deserving individuals after the more important matters are settled.

Signed, Juliana.

(00:14:49 ) Kaganos_of_Ko-ro-ba says to ST: *reaching one of the city's weapon forges, he kicks in the door. Entering the hot semi-dark room, the smells of sweat, leather and heated metal fills his nostrils. Gazing along the walls trying to find a suitable replacement sword, his eyes fall upon an unusually long curved blade. Approximately thirty-six inches of curved steel, single edged. The handle made from some kind of bone and carved with a leaf pattern. The pommel being of bronze and lies flat against the handle, barely protruding at all.*

(00:18:37 ) Kaganos_of_Ko-ro-ba says to ST: *Retrieving the blade's scabbard he sheaths the blade and fastens it to his belt. Looking back around the room he sees several appropriate spearheads he grabs a couple, deciding to find shafts for them later he shoves them into a pouch from the forges counter. This to he fastens to his belt.*

(00:23:27 ) Kaganos_of_Ko-ro-ba says to ST: As he walks towards the door a flash of reflected light takes his interest in the corner behind the door. Stretching from floor to ceiling a bluish steel lance, ten foot in length.

Per Ubar's orders aelf, flame and I went to the merchant part of the city and removed 2/3ds of their stocks of -
Crates of threads, all kinds.
Bolts of cloth, from the most basic rep to the finest gold threaded bolts.

aelf laid waste to the shops, finding all the silk she could, along with as many sparklies, baubles, beads, jewels and
any other decorative item she could find for the slave girls of Tuchuk.

flame cleared out 2/3rds of a warehouse of rep and cotton cloth. Bandage material and good basic fabric
for everyday use in our home. she did an excellent job.

1/3rd was left. But I didn't leave them any of the good stuff.
All that is being loaded into the Seamstress freight wagons.
Turia will be very cold come winter, and looking as dowdy as possible.

Per Ubar's instruction, hush and I went to the General Merchant's and did some "shopping". I took 4 cauldrons, several new frypans, baking dishes and roasting pans, 4 pottery mixing bowls, flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and soda, 5 sets of 7 quivas, jewel and gold embellished knives and daggers, 2 of which I kept for Myself with Ubar's blessing.....I also took leather and cobbler supplies for the cobbler wagon, a couple of sewing kits. hush also found brushes and combs, soaps and perfumes for her and her sisters, and extra supplies for slave trunks.

I took Kaganos with me, and we stripped one of the Medical Cylinders.  Crates containing jars of Agrimony, Black Pepper, Blue Grass, Green Powder, Lavenia, Valerin, Willow Bark, Sip Root, and Zingibar were taken to the Tuchuk Medical and Medical Storage Wagons.  Many medical instruments were also 'liberated', including surgical tubing, IV jars, sutures, scalpels  and needles.  I ransacked their library, and filled a box with scrolls on esoteric medical procedures that I wasn't familiar with, and grabbed a few more 'buzzy thingies' to take back to Scagnar.  The men of Scagnar tended to brawl less when they had seen that I had acquired 'buzzy thingies'.  Kaganos found a book that was locked, and when a young Turian physician saw me handling it, he pulled out a dagger and tried to attack me.  Ivar the Boneless easily sent him to the CoD, and I kept the book.  I may show it to Taryn, and see if she knows what it is.  We also had many Or of beds and operating tables sent back to the Tuchuk, to replace what had been lost when the main Medical Wagon was lost at the RoT.  I picked up a few operating kits that had very precise instruments, and also a small box of very refined kanda.  I hated to use the stuff, but had learned that it could be used to ease the intense pain of a terminally wounded patient who would not make it through the next day.
