Entry Two
Weather continues to both aid and hinder. It remains cold, creating its own inherent dangers, yet with the cold comes freezing, which removes mud or soft ground from the equation. The snow remains crusted and powdery, and even when upon the ground it continues to blow and drift with the winds. One's wagon platform can be covered one moment and completely free of snow the next as we discovered during a near whiteout during the early night hours.
The 1st Oralu has been reported to have become entangled with Kassar and Kataii Oralus to the column's rear Ror (Northeast). The 1st held and Kassar and Kataii pulled back. Casualties are yet unknown, and The 1st Oralu will have to catch up to the column on their own.
With the snow so crusty and powdery, it does break free and blow easily, which does allow the grazing stock to access the grass enough to continue grazing, though it is not the best grass this time of year. This will improve along our march.
We Commanders do not expect an additional attack, as during the whiteout the column has reached Turian territory. Turians would not be thrilled to have the Wagon Peoples battling back and forth on their lands or within their City. I suppose Turia does have its uses.
Continue tending the bosk and kaiila, tend the other stock. Check all hooves and paws for snow, stones, bruises, anything and everything which can harm them of slow our march.
Bosk have been ordered butchered, so everyone should get some hot meat. It may not be a feast, but a little hot meat can go a long way when one is cold.
It is our intent to continue due Klim (West) to reach Turia before stopping again. All we do will work towards this goal in some way, though many may not immediately see the wiliness of Tuchuk.
The herd remains to our left flank just Vask (South) of the column no more than ten wagon widths away.
Shine the bells, baubles, and rings of our bosk. Tuchuk will not be seen by Turia as beat down by anything. Strength and beauty will be presented. Repair minor damage as best as possible. Any serious damage will have to wait, and is expected.
The column will proceed once again as soon as possible. Be ready to do so.
Continue to maintain all general orders given for the march.
See Healers Report for additional information.
