The Great Storm

It was Se'Kara-Lar-Torvis, the Second Turning. The weather had been damp for the past few days, but there were no clouds in the sky this night. All was well in Camp, Some were preparing to attend the Pyre for Draggen. Others were merely tending to the wagons, preparing for the long migration. Just as Some were preparing to leave, the skies grew dark and thunder began to roll across the skies like an angry God trying to get the attention of His mortals. Lightning began to flash in slow streaks, leaping across the skies in brilliant arcs. The winds picked up, the grasses bowing to its whims as the Storm rolled in.

The animals began to stir within their pens as the brilliant lightning and terrible thunder took siege over the skies, turning what was a calm evening into a raging Hell of wind and rain. The rains began to fall slowly at first, but quickly became fierce. The Men of camp prepared themselves for the worst and began to extinguish torches and raise the Lantern. Women and slaves moved into secured wagons to brace out the storm...N/none knew what the Skies had in store for T/them this night.

Thunder rolling like a stampede, lightning flashing like an angry sun. The world had become a raging inferno of wind and water. Suddenly, small peices of ice began to fall from the sky...A moment later, the skies opened up and unleashed a fierce wall of hail toward the grounds. People began to run faster toward wagons, bolting themselves within. Men grabbed their sheilds and raised them above their heads to protect against the onslaught of beaded ice being hurled at them. Warriors attempted to flee from the outlands toward Camp, Most made it. One, however, became pinned beneath his kailla after it skid into camp. The Warrior and Kailla both lost thier fights that Night.

Ubar and Second Son attempted to help the falled Warrior, but it was too late. He had passed on to Valhalla. Ubar sensed it was about to get alot worse. He grabbed Second Son by His arm and They both ran beneath a wagon just in time to avoid a stampede of frightened bosk. A girl steps from a wagon and is almost trampled...Ubar bravely ran from beneath his safe haven, without his shield to protect him from the harsh elements, and saved the girl from being trampled to death. He and the girl stayed safely for the moment beneath another wagon.

A woman attempts the fate of the stampede and loses her life...Her child stands beside the commisary, crying, fearful of the loud thunder and stampeding bosk. Second Son, Raziel and Necron all see the defenseless child and sprint from their safety toward her, all determined to protect the child...the future of Our Home. Raziel grabs the child and gets her to safety. Necron stops and gets out of the path of the stampede as He sees the child taken care of. Second Son...skids to a halt seeing the child safe with Raziel but didnt have time to get out of the way. He gets hit by a scared kailla, the beast sending Him to the ground before it loses its footing and rolls over Him, struggling to stand. Second Son cannot stand, He begins to try to scurry toward a wagon. Necron bravely runs forth and helps Second Son to safety beneath a wagon. (Just 3 more paragraphs, I promise)

With A/all sheltered from the Storm, Ubar rounds the stampeding herd and runs them in the direction of the river...wanting to salvage as much as possible and steer the bosk away from camp. He turns and begins back when two sneaky Kataii take the risk of freeing themselves from Treasure's captivity. One fires an arrow at Him, but misses horribly...the other stands guard, prepared to fight. Necron, Raziel and a Wanderer all sprint toward the rogue thralls as Ubar makes His way to them as well. They had been shown mercy once, it would not happen again.

The archer Kataii fires another arrow, this one skimming Ubars shoulder. Ubar grows tired of the thrall's games and draws His sword. Raziel and Necron quickly subdue the guarding Kataii with magnificent swordplay that no Kataii could match. The Wanderer tackled the archer and Ubar delivers the killing blow. Both thralls, once Kataii Warriors, now join their brethern in Death.

After a long night of fierce elemental fury ...terrible wind, strong lightning, rolling thunder and vicious hail...The storm subsides, but the rain continues for the remainder of the night. Tuchuk was left a mess. Wagons were set aflame from lightning, roofs broken from hail, Warriors bruised and bloodied. This was the night of a massive storm, and this destruction was left in its wake. The Tuchuk will rebuild, like they always have...they will live normal lives once again. But They will never forget the Great Storm.
Opinions are like assholes...everyone has one just some are louder than others.
