A little update on me
« on: October 24, 2005, 04:49:39 AM »
Hey, I am still here but I rarely find the time to come to camp at the moment.

My RT  turns out to be more and more hectic, I work to ungodly hours and afterwards I am too tired for anything and I need to sleep an hour or two, or I will fall over in the afternoon and fall asleep then, which would be not good.

Then I have to take care of my Mom who is not feeling well, as well as my Daddy who is still in Hospital and has some recovering troubles. He is going to Rehab probably by the end of this week.

My Son was diagnosed with ADHS, I am not sure what it is called in English, he can hardly concentrate on anything, is always bouncing and has immense troubles in school. We are twice a week in a Special ADHS Hospital for some ambulantTherapy for him.

My Daughter is 15 - thinks that's pretty much self explanatory.  :-\

My Dog has some weird Allergies which costs me about 200.- €uro every Month at the Vet and we cannot find out what is her Problem, but she scratches herself silly and bleeding.  We go to the Vet twice a week with her.

So, now you know why I am not much online at all, when I come online I read my mails and mayhaps some messageboards, thats all.

*hugs everyone who is reading this and caring*  :-*

you and yours continue to be in my thoughts and prayers sis.

just do naught allow this ti pile up and get you don. try to create just a small amount of time each day just for you. t could even be on the way to work or from work. just a few moments where you can take a deep breath and gather yourself. if you can et this up as a pretty regular thing, you will be surprised at how much you begin looking forward to it and how much it really does help.

love you sis!!!

I totally understand... my youngest brother has ADHD and I know how difficult that can be in a household.

As for the dog... I have no idea.. altho it sounds kind of like my female cat. Every winter she would scratch her face and ears raw. It turned out for her, that she didn't have an allergy at all.. she just has sensitive skin and when the air dried out, so did her skin and she'd scratch herself raw trying to make the itching stop. She was getting cortizone shots to help with the itching. But last winter when we got a new furnace, we got a humidifier attached to it, and having that little extra humidity in the house has made all the difference. She didn't scratch herself at all last winter and I caught it early this year. As soon as I noticed her scratching I turned the humidifier on and she stopped within a day. You may want to see if getting just a cheap room humidifier will help.

Misses ya!

Dogs can also be extremely allergic to fleas and will scratch and bite themselves raw...kinda like humans with mosquito bites....some are extremely allergic..others aren't.  We had a friends dog staying with us...was extremely allergic to the fleas that she had bald patches on her cause she kept biting and scratching at the flea bites.  Just a suggestion, not insinuating ya is flea infested or anything.

Thanks.. :)

We made alot of tests with Emmy (thats her name) and it is either some kind of  acarodermatitis or it is the food. There are some mites that cause such skin troubles. So we tried this and she had cortisone shots and shots against the mites.  She has no fleas or anything. Her skin is full of scabs, I had to buy a bath against infected skin and bathe her once a week with it and she HATES it. Also we have changed to a very expensive ( it costs a FORTUNE!!!! ) hypoallergenic Dog-food based on Lamb and Rice only and  now we just HOPE!

aww.. she's very cute... *grin* at least she's not big like my Malamute... she won't eat as much of that expensive food... I hope all this works for her... it's so hard to see your pet not feeling well and feeling helpless to make them better.

she is so cute.  I remember all the animals I use to have.  good thing that nothing bothered them.  it would of drove Me nuts but I would of kept them no matter what.  I am a big ol animal lover.  any animals I take in, I think of them as My kids.  I just hope that what You are doing Sis does help Your dog out.
