Although not all of the council people made the meeting, we had a very nice productive group. Mike Miller and Anne Heche were there from Manhattan and The Bronx. Emily Addison showed up for the first time. She'll be replacing Anne in The Bronx. Maddison Cirillo, who manages the Four Seasons and the Coco Paza Restaurant showed up, too.
Ben Bravio brought his new petroleum refinery project manager, Adam Kaufman, along and they talked about their plans for Genovese Construction's initial refinery project; Bayway Conoco Phillips Refinery Upgrade ober in New Jersey. It will be a nice 200 million dollar two year job where we can transfer people there as they come off the huge Jacob Javits project in Manhattan.
Ben went over all the construction projects, pointing out each location with the pins on the wall map. I think Emily was really impressed with the huge volume of work GCI handles and the profits we manage to make; how pleased the boroughs are with the results we offer. Ben seems to meet every schedule date, regardless of the problems that arise during each project.
Ben and Adam took Maddie home and Anne took Emily back to her place where they could talk. The mayor has asked Anne if she'll compete in the fall for the Bronx seat. Anne says she probably won't know until she returns from her movie in Africa, but she does plan to discuss their options with Emily.
