She wants to really play this as a barbarian girl.  She and I roleplayed a while tonight and I'm impressed.  Please be patient with her character as she comes to grip with her situation and her slavery.  I think you'll enjoy roleplaying with her.  She's not a gorean princess and does understand that some of her treatment will be "reasonably" harsh.
