gggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  stupid workers comp.  from what I am understanding, the stupid workers comp is trying to say her knee injury is not work related.  so it looks like gonna be going round and round with workers comp. My mom already said that if it came down to it, it will be going to court

already looked up laywers that deals with workers comp, but mom only had a half hour today before she had to be at work, so today she did not have a chance to call any of them.  so that will be done on a day she has off next week.   so the way it looks, it looks like I will not be able to attend the gathering for all the stuff that will be going on.  why does it always seem when something good is about to happen, something comes along and snatches it out of My hands

Jesus.  I just had a feeling this would happen.  Worker's comp almost never "works" on behalf of the workers.

the only part they are disputing is the second injury.  the first one they had no problem at covering.  the doc that did the second opinion is trying to say the torn meniscal cartilage is caused from degenerative disease that she supposedly has.  it seems like since they knew she was gonna have to have the second surgery done, they was trying to find someway of saying nope not gonna pay for it.  it is just pretty stupid them doing this when it leads back to her first injury.  I just wish I knew more of what was going on.  so untill I know what is going to be happening, I got to stick around here to help her out with things*groans big time* both Me and her are wanting to get this over with and have her knee back to as close to normal as possible.  but stupid workers comp is drawing it out so she is in pain almost all the time.  I am not even sure of when the last time she had a full nights sleep without pain in her knee.  I just wish that had the money to pay for it and get it over with.  but don't have the money to do it.

Sis have You ever heard of someone getting a torn meniscal cartlidge in the same knee from work?  what gets Me the most is that they are trying to say this second one is not work related but I know she did for she was not having any trouble out her knee untill she went back to work after the first one.  it is either she had torn it again at work or the doc did not get it taken care of the first time around.  I honestly don't know what is gonna be done.  all I know is she has Tuesday off from work so that is most likely the day she is gonna be speaking with lawyers.  I just hope that one of them can help her.  she is in so much pain from her knee that it is killing Me inside

*ponders* I think they should have to prove she was being treated, ongoing, for the pre-injured knee....rather than saying it is an ongoing condition..if you reply back, with the fact that you can prove she was under no medical care, and, if you can find successful or end of treatment reports from the previous doctor, then, youll have better ground to stand on.....the ball should be bounced FLAT back to their court, if you tell them "Proce she was getting treatment for this knee up until this point"
I think that may help, will think of more when not so tired....ive gone through and over alll kinds of things that insurance companies look for, or, what they hate to have found out*S*

for the knee she was not being treated but a few years ago she was having pain in her right hip and that doc had put her on anti-inflamitory for that and that helped her hip back then and no doc ever took her off them.  so she still takes them but before she slipped and fell at work back on June 26,2005 she never had a problem out of that knee and then she fell at work and it felt better but then it started hurting her again so she found out that it would still be covered under workers comp so that is when she started having it looked at and found the first problem.  and then she was off for about 8 weeks and went back to work and then something happened and her knee got reinjuried so how and can not figure out how.  her knee did not give her pain untill she went back to work

same company, right?
then the dr didnt catch everything! im sure youll be quite firm with them in that regard*S* an attorney, or even the premise of one, is generally enough to get things handled.
legal bills can cost a company far more than medical bills, sometimes.

yes same company.  she has been with this company since April 7,2005 and injured her knee the first time June 26,2005 .  so yes it is with the same company.  when she had problems with her hip, she was not working then and that is when she found out she is diabetic
