Bah
« on: May 26, 2006, 11:12:11 AM »
Iknow I haven't been around a bunch and I'm sorry... Roy and I have been slowly getting things done around the house, and by midnight I'm pooped. I've been in a few times, but only for about 30 min or so... Taryn can testify that I have exited a few times! *laffs*

We've had some minor setbacks.... he was mowing the lawn in the backyard and didn't see the dog's rope bone and ran over it and well.. it kinda broke a $50 part that we've had to order. He also got a tension wire up along the bottom of the fence and staked it in a few places to try to keep our dog IN the yard, who has decided to be a total twerp and now DIGS his way under the fence. His punishment is to be stuck in the carrier since beating him doesn't work. The carrier fixes him for a couple days before wanting to play wiht the dogs who's owners LET them run around loose on a busy street gets the better of him. SO.. our new plan is to run an electrified wire a few inches in front of the fence, so that every time he goes to dig, he gets zapped. I hate to zap my dog, but it's the only way to keep him inside and safe since the little bugger has figured out how to get out of his harness when he's tied up. I think his record is less than 5 min.

Just going grocery shopping wipes me out these days, which sucks, because we have a big project coming up in the next day or two. We are measuring and we're thinking that we are going to switch the office and the spare room. If we can actually do this, I will likely be offline for a few days since he'll have to go under the house and move the cable line to the new room. It makes a lot of sense to be doing this, since the current office is a larger room, but the way the windows etc are situated, the only place for our desks is to be on opposite walls from each ohter and so we keep ramming into each other with our chairs since the room is a rectangle. By moving, we can have our desks at a decent space apart, not bug each other anymore, AND have enough room in the spare room to move the love seat that is currently in the living room that needs to find a new home for when we get the playpen.

On top of all that, we are also just trying to spend time together, and do things together. For example, last night he introduced me to the wonderful world of casino poker. *grin* He's been playing for a while now, but I never went with him. Last night I did, and I played! and WON!!! *lol* It was the lowest denomination game there, 2-4 holdem... and I sat down with $60, and walked away with about $150! *does a happy dance* Of course, I realize a lof of that was just beginners luck, but he's been teaching me a lot about poker ever since he started playing, so even tho I had never played, I knew HOW to. *lol* Apparently he wants me to go back with him tonight to see if I can repeat my performance. *chuckles*

So yeah.. tha'ts my life in a nutshell.. things to look forward to is moving ALL the stuff from the current storage room into the spare room for me to sort thru since the storage room is becomming the nursery. While I'm sorting he'll be sanding the annoying spackle off the ceiling in the nursery and painting it. What we don't chuck will be put into a storage unit, or go back into the nursery as decorations and books etc.  On top of all that, I'm expanding rapidly and so doing any bending or anything is getting really difficult, I have a hard time washing clothes because my dang tummy keeps getting in my way when I lean over to dump things in!! *LOL* Roy of course, finds this HILARIOUS... *grumbles* I have even broken down and bought myself a bleach pen and a Tide to Go pen since I can't get close enough to the table anymore and I'm getting spillages. So far, the bleach pen is amazing! got out a spagetti sauce stain no problem!

I love you all, and I miss you... I'm hoping to get some energy from somewhere and be able to be in for longer periods of time.

Aren't those pens just the bees knees? ~smiles~ as for not being able to come into camp, don't worry, spend time with Roy, go out and enjoy yourselves, while you still can... ~laughs~ but in all honesty, things need to get done, and as long as you are having fun, well except the dog been there done that will talk to you about it when I see you on MSN, go have fun... ~huggles~ we still love you Sis...

Update time...

well... the computers are moved into the new room, the bed is set up in it's new room, that floor has even been steam cleaned. The dressers are both in the new office, and unfortunately, so is a ton of junk. We chucked a ton already as we were packing up, but what remains has to find a home... somewhere. After cursing at my computer, taking the cable modem, the Lingo, and the wireless router BACK into the old room, hooking them up, testing everything, bringing it BACK into the new room, hooking everything up, and testing it, I FINALLY got a net connection. Suscom, our cable provider has sold itself to Comcast, and there has been a period of adjustment. UNfortunately that means that while my download speed is great, my upload speed SUCKS. If it gets below a certain point, I lose all connection and apparently, for about 3 hours this afternoon, it was below that point. I did a test and I'm uploading at 240 instead of several thousand like I should be. Sooo... on monday I get to call tech support and raise all holy hell! *eg* Because this has been going on for several days now.  My computer, obviously, is now set up again. Roy's is still in pieces but I can't get at it since there's this big door lying against his desk at the moment... we had to remove the doors to get his desk it... it's been LOADS of fun I tell ya. I was steamcleaning till 1am last night.

So yeah.. I been workin!! *lol* From here on out we're hoping to take things a little slower, but we have the people coming to our house on tuesday to finalize our mortgage and I kinda want the house looking semi together by that point. By evening I'm ready to just curl up in a ball and never move again. I'm doing most of the unpacking etc, because Roy is busy cursing at the lawnmower. He got the replacement part in the mail, but while trying to get the broken part out, he managed to break another part. He's not a happy camper. the GOOD news is, the dog has NOT been getting out of the fence. We finally gave in and gave him back his crawl space because he was staying in the yard until a storm would come along, then he'd freak out and go thru the fence anyway... and at that point, he's so freaked that he doesn't feel the, what I've been assured is, a majorly good zap. So... Roy's reinforcing the water pipes, which is why he was banned from the crawl space in the first place, and we're gonna see how it goes.

Hopefully once we've gotten the new office cleaned up and everything put away, I'll be back online. This is the first time I've had my computer on in about 4 days I think. I miss everyone, and I'll try to get back as soon as I can. Oy.. back into the fray... wish me luck! *tired chuckle*
