Audrey Tatellio Diary

What a wild week. First going over to Long Island with Phil and Tiffany to spend the day swimming in that magnificent pool at Felix Roger's huge Oyster Bay mansion. I was stunned when I first saw that place. Felix says he inherited most of his fortune, but dabbles in the stock market along with other investments.

Then today, Phil picked me up in his old 65 Mustang and drove me over to his place in Queens. Can you believe he has a pet alligator named Sparky? Unreal!

He showed me around the place and then took me to a little Italian restaurant named Antonio's where we shared a nice spaghetti dinner. What really shocked me was that while we're eating, some cops came in there and actually arrested a guy at the bar. It was the same guy that gave me the creeps by staring at me as I sat as the bar waiting for Phil to use the men's room.

After dinner, I let Phil give me our first real kiss. Well, actually I sort of kissed him, now that I think back on it. He agreed to take me to Rachel's play later Wednesday night. I like Phil, but we'll have to see where this goes, since I'm not planning to let romance mess with my education.

Dear Diary,
I'm finally settled in my dorm room at Columbia University where I'll be attending law school after getting my BS at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. I stayed at Rachel's penthouse suite for the first few days and she said I could stay there in her spare bedroom, but I declined so I wouldn't interfere with her dates. She needs her privacy and so do I.

Gino Caruso, Rachel's friend and a bartender at the Four Seasons, has shown an interest in me and indeed helped me move my stuff over to my dorm room. He's a very attractive guy and I'm sure we'll spend some time together over the next few years.

Last night I had dinner with Phil Montzuma, a guy I met at the Four on Wednesday night. I asked Amy Bilson and her date, Barry Watters, to have dinner with us and she agreed. It was a bit awkward when Phils seemed very disappointed because I'd had my hair cut short that morning at the Carnegie Hill Spa. I know how hot and humid it can get in New York City during the summer and short hair makes life a lot more easy and comfortable.

Amy invited us to join them at the movies after dinner and I would have gone, but Phil wanted me to go over to his new place in Queeens. I decided to decline and just go home. After all, it was our first date and it was pretty clear what Phil's intentions were, a quick conquest in his boudoir. I'm no virgin and not a prude, but I'm not that easy, either.
