It seemed way different than New York City when I finally woke up in the Blue Swan, the bed and breakfast where Rachel and I were staying in Monterey. The sun was shining in the windows where we must have left the drapes open last night
My head was throbbing from a little too much wine last night where we had dinner with Harry and Peter at that marvelous restaurant a few miles south in Carmel. I finally dragged myself out of bed, showered and dressed, then headed out to the dinning room for breakfast. Waiting there were Harry, Peter and a tired looking Rachel.
The gentlemen drove us up to San Francisco and dropped us off at SFO where we waited to board our United Airlines flight back to New York City. Once we were finally alone in first class, we were able to discuss the wild vacation trip, but Rachel of course refused to discuss what happened Saturday night. Typical!
I was stunned late Sunday evening upon arriving back in my Plaza Hotel penthouse suite. There on my bed were two fornicating dolls. The Ken doll had a tag on it naming him Harry, and of course, the other one was tagged as Lindsay. Written on my master bedroom mirror in my own lipstick was, "Such a sensual female you are!… I enjoyed that trip." I'm not sure how the Doll Man beat me back here but the inference was it was Harry, the man I had dinner with and more on Saturday night.
I called Rachel immediately and sent her to her bedroom to look. Sure enough, on her bed were the two dolls, one tagged Peter and the other one Rachel. On her mirror was the stark, threatening message, "Rachel, Rachel, Rachel…. Lindsay is making a slut out of you too… such a shame… I might have to kill you now."
I called the police and asked for Joe Friday. He instructed us not to touch anything and to make sure the Plaza Hotel and Carnegie Hill security people secured the area until they got there with the CSI teams.
Joe said it's highly possible that the Doll Man was following me, saw Rachel and me with Harry and Peter, and was just making assumptions. Although I had to admit I spent the night with Harry, Rachel insists that nothing happened between her and Peter.
The NYPD is working with the San Francisco and Monterey police to locate both Peter and Harry. Hopefully, we'll know more once Harry has been located and questioned. They located Peter Schwartz quickly, a real estate agent in the San Francisco Bay Area. Peter supported Rachel's claims that he merely took her back to her room and left.
Peter said he met Harry Wagner there at the sales convention, so he really doesn't know him well. They had a few beers together and met Rachel and I at a bar which eventually lead to our dinner dates. Peter said that he dropped Harry off at the San Francisco airport private planes area after dropping us off at the United Airlines terminal. That might be how Harry beat us back to New York City
I'll be anxiously waiting for the police to locate Harry Wagner and question him. I just can't believe that he's the Doll Man, but who the hell knows.

Rachel has temporarily put her Webmaze Players Wednesday nights plays on hold until September 13th.
