Tara's Casino and Hotel
===================
September 12, 2006
Although I hated to give up Tara's Casino and the profits, without a solid manager down there I wouldn't be in total control, something I knew I couldn't afford. I asked my friend, Beth Clark of Clark Real Estate Company to handle the sale. She's really more of an expert here in New York City, but I trust her judgment.

Beth said that she knows a few real estate agents in Atlantic City that can work with her to get the best possible price. Of course, I'll still make the final decisions.

It will mean making a few trips down there to seal the deal, but Tara's is now a plum operation so we'll get a nice price.

*sighing as I return my attention to the Genovese New York City operations and the upcoming council seat elections*

We're backing Mike Miller in Manhattan, of course, but he really has that borough locked up. Cameron Diaz will easily win the Brooklyn race with our support and her tight relationship with Ben Bravio keeps Brooklyn under our control.

My major concerns relate to Sawyer Holloway in Queens, Amber Valetta on Staten Island and that new hot chick in The Bronx, Emily Addison. Tammi Hanlin assures me that Holloway will win in Queens and shouldn't be a problem.

Amber has been attending most of our Genovese Enterprises board meetings and I think she's pretty loyal to our cause.

The new lady replacing Anne Heche is still sort of a question mark. Jason Maloney says they get along famously, but I'm still not satisfied that Emily will make sure we get all the work in The Bronx. Work has started on that New York Yankee stadium, a billion dollar project that Ben is handling personally. I just want to be sure we retain the refuse removal contract for 2007.

Last, but not least, is the sudden changes out on Long Island. Mayor Bloomberg still hasn't named a replacement there, choosing to wait for the November elections. I need to go through the potential candidates there and decide who we should back.

Way too much to do to concentrate on Atlantic City. Let Beth handle that one.

[Posted as Roscoe Wallace]

Wall Street had a good spot about Tara's: it gave the contact info for one Beth Clark. Casually dialing up the number and getting the voice mail, he left his piece:

Hello Ms Clark. This is Roscoe Wallace of Wallace Enterprises. I'm sure you've heard of me, as I run a small numbers operation her in Harlem- all legal of course ~spoken with an amiable chuckle~, as well as many other clubs in the greater metro area.

Anyway, I chanced upon the bidding ad for Tara's, but I'm a man who likes to skip all the preliminaries- you know, just get right down to the main course. I am confident that I have enough to exceed any bids for Tara's, as well as enough to make both your client happy and you with the commission you will receive.

The couple of weeks will be busy for me, so I will leave you the contact information for my Chairman, Malcom Jackson. *Gives info.* Please feel free to get in touch with him at your earliest convenience.

Thanks again. Buhbye.

Hanging up the phone, I dial up Malcom and let him know to expect a call from the Genovese agent, Beth Clark. I also instruct him to call me back if he receives no response within the upcoming week, as I will have to get involved directly then. Malcom should do the job. Boy was dapper enough, but still retained that ghettofabulous charisma all the honeys seemed to love. Hopefully this Ms Clark would not prove to be the exception...

((Posted as Beth Clark))

*returning to my real estate office on the mezzanine of the Plaza Hotel after selling a nice brownstone in the Upper East Side to a wealthy advertising magnet, I start listening to the phone messages that Molly left.*

*the first one was a very interesting message from a Roscoe Wallace expressing interest in Tara's Casino and Hotel. He's referred me to a Malcom Jackson, apparently the Chairman of Wallace Enterprises, so I dial the number he left. I get Mr. Jackson's answering machine*

Hello, Mr. Jackson. A Roscoe Wallace left this number to reach you. My name is Beth Clark, manager of Clark Real Estate. I understand that your firm is interested in Tar's Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City. I'd be more than happy to schedule a time when we can meet down there and walk through the site. I'm sure you'll be pleased with what you see, if you already haven't visited Tara's.

*hanging up with a big grin, knowing Diego will be pleased if we get a fast sell down there. Diego wants 25 million for the hotel and casino, a very reasonable price considering the potential future there*
