This Week's Gossip
New York City, the city that never sleeps. Last Sunday morning I awoke beside my closest male friend, Diego Farina. He'd shown up last Saturday night waiting in my Plaza Hotel suite without first calling. Luckily, I wasn't bringing home a "catch of the night".
I'd spent last Saturday night at Mahoney's Irish Pub with my best friend, Rachel Tatellio and she went home alone, too. I called her while still in bed and told her I wasn't running that morning since I had other plans foe exercise. She just laughed when I told her Diego would pick up the tab for brunch later.
Diego said the real reason he came over was to invite me to attend the Super Bowl in Miami this coming week with him. He has a friend that has a luxury suite and I know there will be some neat people at the party. I agreed whole heartedly, since it'll be much warmer down there and I know I'll find some fun things to do.
During brunch with Rachel she mentioned the fact that she wrote up a synopsis for the final two seasons of Sex and the City. She plans to offer that on her Creative Arts Theatre message boards, because the last two seasons contain a lot of tragedy and aren't real suitable for her plays.
She did say that Carrie does eventually hook up with Mister Big in the very last show and all the other women wind up happily attached to decent men. She plans to start over from the very first show in a few weeks with some minor editing. Those were always pretty funny plays.
Bobby Campbell dragged Rachel and I over to pose for her L'eggs ads and some naughty lingerie photo shots. I guess we both have the right legs and bottoms for those panty ads. He even had Rachel pose in a demi-bra, with of course no head shot. I'm the one that always got those photos. Maybe Rach is getting more liberal since she's now dating both Mike Miller and Jon Bon Jovi, or maybe she wanted the free demi-bra to tease Jon with?
My spy advised me that Bobby also had Ana Demetrius and Rafe'ella Michaels in his studio very late at night to shoot some full page Clairol hair ads. Did they stay over night? Sadly, my source said they both left there rather then spend the night in Bobby's fancy second floor apartment, so there was no ménage a trios to report.
Sitting here in our Miami hotel my informant tells me that the new Staten Island councilman, David Dewher, spent the night with CBS CBS Channel 2 reporter, Bridget Martin tonight. interesting combination.
Firing off my column on the hotel fax machine before heading to the Super Bowl party with Diego. I'm sure we'll have a great time. More in next week's column. Goodnight New York City!

This Wednesday night, February 7th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Friends - Frank Jr.. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom.
