Further Bear Updates
« on: February 18, 2007, 11:50:16 AM »
It never fails that when one thing starts looking up, something else happens ...

The good stuff first.

Health-wise, I'm doing a lot better.  I'm about 75-80% which feels like 100% until I push myself ....

I've been keeping myself busy with doing some major renovations on my website.  I got rid of all the flash and decided to hone my CSS and PHP skills.  I've renovated my business pages mostly, but it's carried over into the other areas of my pages as well, such as my e-zine and my Rattt pages.  I've been working on several ideas and made a gazillion templates for future use should I decide.

I even have yet another idea for my Gorean pages.  I haven't decided yet if I will redo them but most likely, I will.  I like the new design that I made and think it will suit the Gorean pages far better than how I have them now.

I also added a blog to my professional site.  It's about 99.9% done.  I have a few tweaks to make to the design I think.  I'll wait a few days and see what hits me to adjust.  ~lol~  I am having problems with one thing and it's confuzzled me; so I'm taking a break while contemplating where I bungled up.  I'm also creating one for my Gorean site.  My personal blog I designed as an HTML page rather than the blogging engine that I use for my professional blog.  For one, I don't need comments made back to me ~lol~  and secondly, because it IS personal, I wanted to give it that special personalization that was harder to do with the blogging engine.

The blogs and other changes are all up (with the exception of the new look for the Gorean pages; it's still in raw design) and live on my site.

Had a greaaaaaaaaaat Valentine's Day ~waggles eyebrows~

And then, that's when things went downhill ...

My dog has some sort of malady that has him planted to his bed.  He'll get up if you show him the collar to go "OUT" though.  But it's viciously painful for him and he spends the night and day crying.  So, it's to the vet we go tomorrow and pray it's nothing serious.   He's got an enlarged/tipped prostrate so we're hoping it hasn't moved to the anal canal.

Then my daughter called me the same night our JD got sick and told me that she's been in and out of the hospital, and the concern of her delivering far too soon.   Having already lost her first daughter before her 2nd birthday, to lose another will be quite hard on her.  So, I'm readied to fly out to Portland should the need arise.   (So you see my Cherished... babies, daughters and granddaughters are not forever after all ... )

Depending the outcome of both, and if I have to dip into my vacation savings, will determine if I make it to the Gathering or not.  But my concern is for my pooch and daughter to be okay more than anything else.
