This Week's Gossip
I woke up last Sunday morning to realize that I'd missed the deadline for my Sunday Times column. If you're a regular reader here, you can find it on the back pages of the Monday edition.
Joe Black and I showered together when we finally woke up and I'd sent in my column, then headed downstairs where he bought us brunch in the Palm Court. Rachel joined us as usual and kept giving one of those stares that said she hated having to run alone on Sunday mornings when failed to even call her to advise her I'd be late.
I made it up to her on Tuesday night by playing Grace in her Creative Arts Theatre play when Rafe failed to show up. I understand that Rafe had "company" on Tuesday and wound up sleeping in until midnight. I do hope her company was worth it.
It was a very quiet week until Saturday night when the Special Victims Unit team of Chris Meloni and Olivia Benson crashed a Delta Sigma Phi fraternity party to capture and arrest the now infamous Ecstasy Rapist that has been terrorizing the Columbia University campus, raping females while wearing a ski mask.
I learned from Rachel that it was her younger sister, Audrey, that was attacked during the frat party. Apparently, Audrey had been warned by our now famous medium, Allison Dubois, that this rape attempt would occur at a frat party. Barry Watters was wired up by Chris' SVU team and attended the party with Audrey so he could signal the team when she was hauled upstairs to a second floor bedroom.
Charlie Black, a medical student, is being held as the accused rapist at the 5th Precinct until his attorney, Diane Neal arrives and Nelle Porter can conduct the interrogation. I plan to attend the arraignment Judge Helen Gamble will conduct on Monday.
I spent Saturday night attending an awards banquet with Anne Heche, one of my near and dear friends. She accompanied me back to the Plaza Hotel where I damn near missed Sundays edition again.

This Tuesday night, March 13th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Sex and the City - The Pilot. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom.
