The light of gors three moons shined through the opening of Master Arlons wagon.. the thrills have already gone to start the day. The girl rises, changes into the clothing her Master baught her.. then puts her sandles on and starts the long walk towards the kitchens.. barely any light out at the third ahn..
Reaching the kitchings she looks around to see what needs done, candles light just enough to see where shes going, heads into the actual kitchen to start cooking. The girl looks around gathering ideas what to make, decides on pastries for breakfast, with sausage and gravy and biscuits.
First pastry she gathers a large temwood bowl.. adds sartarna flour.. white salt, a tef of white sugar, and half of a tef of yellow sugar.. baking soda and chilled bosk molk, she mixes egg hill the dough is formed then covers with a rep cloth .. walks to where the fresh fruit is and fills a temwood bowl with ramberry and peaches.. ponders another flavor but it's not here with the fruit.. bazi cream.. she returns to the kitchen . A sorp shell taken to dice the peaches into small portions. Placed in the pan with water, and sugar.. and heated till tender, but not quite done. The peaches have a nice thick syrup with them.. she sets aside to cool.. now the berries, placed in a bowl.. tef of sugar, water.. a piece of salt .. and heated till almost bursted.. she stirs with a wooden spoon.. sets aside to cool..
Going back to the dough, she takes the cloth off, rolls out the dough.. as thin as she possibly can.. then cuts thin lines. Then again several horts down. The four lines of dough carefully woven into a fishtail braid, then rolled into a pin wheel. A dollop of peach set in the center.. set on a oven pan that's been oiled to keep them from sticking. She continues to make the pinwheels till the dough and both fruits are completely gone.. the tops brushed with butter and egg white mix, course white sugar sprinkled on top. Four pans full of pastries set in the stone ovens, she saved a set of twenty four pinwheels, takes the temwood bowls and washes them in the basin. Dries the bowls, adds thick cream, yellow sugar, cheyenne, cinnamon and nutmeg as well as the few secret ingredients... then mixes the thick cream until its thick like pudding. A few scraps of vanilla beans added into the pudding. The girl scoops a dollop to rest center of the pinwheel. When all have finished a topping of crushed red rock sprinkled on top. Brushed with milk and egg wash they are set in the oven, while the remainder are taken out.. hot pan set aside till the other two pans join them.. with a spatchla she takes the pinwheels and layers them on a cooling rack one at a time..
Once the pinwheels are set, she takes the bazi cream makes a dimple in the middle, drizzled with rare chocolate, only enough for a slight taste ..then sets them in the hot stone ovens.
As the last of the pastrys bake she takes a rep cloth, wets it then wipes the counters fown.. cleaning the mess she made with flour.. taking the temwood bowl the girl stretches, then fills the bowl with flour, white salt, baking soda.. a hint of white sugar, fruit yeast, splash of milk and mixes until a dough is formed.. again letting the dough rise. Since she used the fruit yeast the girl Gathers larma, each one cut into small chunks. Placed in a jar with water and seals it shut, setting on the bottom shelf.
The dough cut into five peices, then rolled out, covered in butter with a brush, then set in a pan. The next layer placed over the first, brushed with butter and done again with all five layers.. the bread lightly pressed down.. cut into squares .. then lightly salted on top.. set in the oven to bake. Making two pans of biscuits..the last set of pinwheels pulled from the hot ovens, and set on the cooling racks.. she takes the chilled ones set aside for now.. sprinkled with powdered sugar then fills the display with the other tarts.
As the biscuits cook she washes her hands in the basin ... takes the pots and pans giving them a quick, but through wash.. sets them up to dry.. she gathers a large pan and heads off to find tarsk.. takes the cut of meat, has a thrills cut it un peices so she can run it through a grinder.. places the ground sausage into the pan with spices.. cheyeen.. red salt.. celery seeds, allium ( garlic ) among other spices.. once all the tarsk is ground she sets on the hot stones to brown the meat.. fresh allium added along with the salts.. once the meat is browned.. she takes flour makes a empty center so the sausage grease is in the middle.. mixes with the flour.. then adds a gill or two of water.. creating a gravy.. .. then mixes it all as one creating a sausage and gravy mix..
By now sounds of life are heard in the kitchen.. people working around her.. she pours the gravy in a cast pot hangs over the lower flames on the fire place. Then grabs a cloth and takes the biscuits out.. laid aside covered with a rag, she finishes by washing her dishes.. dries and puts the rest of the dishes away.. hands dried.. she takes a peach pastry for her Master ..then returns to the wagon.

Taking a woven basket with a small blanket ticket at the bottom she heads down the walk way following down the path, and to the vulo cages.. carefully into the pin.. then to the first house.. the vulo slightly startled and would fly away if it could.. she goes from nest to nest gathering the eggs, sometimes up to eight eggs sometimes only one or two.. soon the baskets filled.. set aside, she gathers a broom and starts tho sweep up old stray.. moves nests and cleans the straw around then.. now and then finding a egg or two hidden from site. These eggs set aside, who knows how old they are.. the girl pushes the old straw out, then takes new straw replacing it where the old was.. around each nest .. then upon the floor.. she sweeps the old stuff into a pile to be collected later.
The girl walks around the shop back to the commissary where the eggs are handed off to another girl.. she takes a seat with gallons of milk in a barrel, a long plunger and begins to churn milk .. honey poured in about half way through.. as the time passes the girl thinks over lessons..
Continues to mix the milk till it thickens.. the large plunger taken out.. the thin butter serrated, half gets salt, half doesent.. each half labeled and taken to the cold room to chill.
