This Week's Gossip
Neither rain, sleet nor snow and not even the Bills tight end Kevin Everett's inspirational return to Buffalo could prevent our Giants from clinching a playoff berth last Sunday. After coughing up a 14-0 lead, our Giants roared back to win the important game, 38 to 21. Even coach Tom Coughlin could shrug off his sourpuss public persona for a moment, cracking a joke about the Gatorade bath he received on the sideline.
Tammi Hanlin listened when I told her there was a new place to get a tattoo in New York City. Kat von D purchased an old warehouse in Queens overlooking both the East River and the Queens Bridge Park and renovated it into what she's named, High Voltage Tattoos and Gallery.
Tammi has spoken often about wanting a small butterfly tattoo on her ankle, so with the very sexy Eoin Ryan at her side, they took a taxi over there and worked out a deal with Kat. Tammi tells me that Kat sketched up just the right tattoo and she showed me the temporary pattern. Kat still wants the tattoo somewhere else on Tammi's sensual body, but Tammi says she still thinks it will wind up on her ankle.
While Tammi was there, Samantha also showed up and had a rose tattooed on her hip. Yes, upper hip! I would have loved to be a fly on the wall watching Sam hike up her skirt with Eoin watching.
The new Queens councilman, Robert Jackson, was also there that night. He's the Vice president of Citibank and manages the Queens branch. Obviously he approved the huge loans required for Kat to purchase and rebuild her new home. She has her loft type apartment on the second floor of the building and I can't wait to see it. Maybe I'll let her tattoo me. We'll see.
The bad news this week was that Emily Addison is still missing. Lt. Joe Friday brought my Christmas present from Emily up to my place and asked me to open it. They are interviewing all the people that were receiving presents or were on her Blackberry or computer emails. I qualified on all three counts, but Joe assured me that I wasn't a suspect.
I opened the package to find a little sexy night gown that I told Emily I liked when we shopped together at Victoria's Secret. I showed Joe my present for Emily with little tears in my eyes, the one I never quite had the opportunity to deliver. I told Joe I had no ideas as to who might have abducted Emily, but he asked me to call him if anything popped up from my many sources.
On Saturday evening, I went over to the Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands with Diego and watched one of the most thrilling football games I've ever seen. The win or loss supposedly meant nothing to the Giants since we're already in the playoffs, but our Giants came out playing everybody and damn near upset the New England Patriots. The game ended with Eli Manning tossing a touchdown to Plaxico Burress, then attempting an onsides kick in the closing minutes. It failed, and the Pats did the 16-0 miracle, something I had the opportunity to watch. I'll be anxious to watch our Giants in the playoffs at Diego's side.
