This Week's Gossip
Last Sunday I didn't expect Rachel to show up for our morning walk and run in Central Park with her new boyfriend, Jon Bon Jovi, in town, so I worked out with Tammi Hanlin and Tiffany Farina. Tammi is still trying to decide where she wants her butterfly tattoo.
After a nice warm shower, I got dressed and met up with Rachel and Jon downstairs in the Palm Court. They were both laughing about their own personal football game in her apartment after they watched the Patriots eek out a win over her New York Giants. I'll be attending the Giants' first playoff game in Tampa Bay with Diego next Sunday.
I couldn't believe what happened in the posh Plaza Hotel during Sunday night and early Monday morning. The explosions on the 6th floor woke me up, thinking we were having a huge thunder storm, but I learned later that there was a violent attack and several Russian immigrants where murdered in what the NYPD claim as a gangland attack successfully aimed at a Russian crime boss named Valentin Chenkov. I'll be following this story with great interest.
Diego got us a suite atop the Hyatt Regency Tampa Hotel and we spent Saturday night at the home of the Buccaneers owner, Malcolm Glazer, along with the Giants owner, John Mara. It was a nice dinner in their mansion in spite of the fact that on Sunday the teams would be facing each other. We will be watching the game in the visitors box with Mara,
I did talk to Rachel late Saturday night after she spent the evening in the Four Seasons with Samantha. She said she met a new guy there named, Cody Duncan, a photographer that has just arrived in New York City looking for work. Rach said that after telling Cody that she's under contract with both Bobby Campbell and L'eggs, she did agree to pose for him and then take the photos to Carly Carpenter of Vogue and Nicole Andersen of In Style to help him get started. Cody has a room in the Four Seasons Hotel, right next door to the Four Seasons Supper Club.
Entertainment
This Tuesday night, January 8th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Sex and the City - Faithful. I'll be there in case she needs me to cover a role.
