The board meeting was attended by Mike Miller. David Dewher, Ana Demetrius, Angela Black, Natalie Palermo and the late arrival of Tiffany Farina.

*opening the Genovese Board Meeting*… Good evening, everyone. …let's get started.

Tiffany and I have compiled the financials for 2007. Copies of the breakdowns of work in each of your boroughs are included in the packets Tiff is handing out.

2007 was a very good year, much of it as a result of the efforts all of you have made on our behalf. With your help, we'll still be providing the refuse removal for all of the New York City Area.

In addition, Genovese Construction Inc. has had a banner year and we expect it to be even better in 2008. The new Yankee Stadium and Freedom Tower projects alone will keep Ben Bravio and his crews really busy.

Lets take a quick look at some key numbers…..  As you can see, the total volume for 2008 was a hearty $304,800,000 and our profits were $65,200,000.

The major sources were, of course, Genovese Construction at 48 million and Refuse Removal at a little over 10 million dollars. I'm hoping for a ten percent increase in the construction area this year.

We know this is an election year for the borough council seats and you can count on our support. The labor votes can really help you each win your local areas. I'll personally plan to attend any affairs that you each might schedule, like dinners and those debates. I liked those Fireside Chats that Mike Miller uses to make your voters feel closer to you.

I'm seriously concerned about the fact that there has been no word regarding our missing Bronx councilwoman, Emily Addison. Neither the police or the FBI have been able to determine what happened there. I've met with Mayor Bloomberg and he's considering naming a temporary council person if Emily doesn't show up soon. I told him that I'm concerned that the Russians that are harbored in The Bronx may have had reasons to eliminate her.

David Dewher gave a short report on the Biofuels Project and suggested that the politicians should use the progress there in their campaigns.

Mike Miller is using his "Fireside Chats" too get closer to the people and Ana asked him for help in setting up similar "Fireside Chats" with her out on Long Island. Diego asked Tiffany to stay in close contact with the council people in each borough so he can attend some of their campaign events.

The increase in the number of Genovese employees concerns me and I grilled Natalie regarding whether she can handle the increased load, including the random drug tests I demand. She says that Carolyn Donovan is helping her now and everything it fine.
