During breakfast Lindsay showed up with a tape that Katie Donovan gave her Wednesday evening. We watched the tape which showed two Russian thugs threatening the owners of a coffee and bagel place on 86th street. That's only a few blocks from my place in the Upper East Side and there's no way I can let them start a protection racket scam here in Manhattan.
I called Eoin and told him I wanted his numbers writers in that area to start watching that shop and step in if they saw those Russians there again.

Last night I joined Barb Swan at the hospital to meet Samantha Emeris, the young lady that Denny Mahoney had to save from danger on Monday night.
Apparently, Shane King, the man that impregnated Samantha years ago at a party where she had too much to drink, was trying to gain control over both her and her six year old son, Devin.
In order to avoid him, Samantha and her son have been hiding in Barb's Brooklyn apartment. Some how Shane had learned where she was hiding and forced his way in there at gunpoint. Barb used her head and left her cell phone running after Shane demanded that she put the phone down. Denny was on the other end listening and hurried over to deal with Shane.
I don't know the exact details, but Denny said they managed to subdue Shane and fed him to the fish to permanently eliminate the problem.
My immediate concern was this strange powder drug that Shane was using to subdue Samantha. Denny, and Eoin, who initially helped Samantha escape Shane's clutches, agree that Shane wasn't smart enough to design the drug. Where making every effort to find out who was feeding Shane the drug to use. If we can locate the source, we'll pass that info on the the FBI and get it shut down.
I took a nice big basket of fruit in for Samantha and offered her a chance to try out as a singer at my Four Seasons Supper Club. She'll also be working for Denny as a waitress at Mahoney's Irish Pub to pay her way until she can get her singing career rolling. We'll have to see how that works out.
