This Week's Gossip
I woke up Sunday morning staring at the ceiling. It was hard to believe about Rachel's friend Kate passing on March 27th. I slipped in my sweats and joined Mary McGrath at Central Park for our Sunday moring run. Of course there was no sign of Rach since she was busy helping clear up Kate's sad demise.

I sat in the Four Seasons Supper club on Friday night this week. Barbara Barton was there every night this week with Carl according to Gino, the bartender. She said that she was staying at Carl's place this week, helping him with his next romance novel. I could tell that something was going on there. I'm nobody's fool.

It was Saturday when Bridget Martin broke the news on CBS Channel Two, saying that Bradley Barton was found shot and killed by a mugger in the parking garage near his publishing firm office. As I understand it, Detective Scotty Valens has been assigned this case. Isn't that the detective I saw chatting with Seamus a few weeks ago?

Rachel flew out to San Francisco with Kate's husband on Saturday to attend the scattering of Kate's ashes over the Pacific ocean. She'll be staying there with Jon Bon Jovi who has a concert in Monterey on Tuesday.

Diego is in Sicily as we speak, attending a funeral of a high ranking Sicilian family leader. He plans to stay for at least a week to visit family and friends. That left me alone again at the Four Seasons Saturday night. Samantha is still in Boston carrying for her mother who broke a hip.

I did chat with Seamus Clark Saturday evening. He sure didn't seem stunned by the death of Barbara Barton's husband.

At least Mary McGrath showed up at the Four Saturday night and we stayed there sipping wine until the place closed. We even danced to the nice piano music a few times, which had Gino rolling his eyes behind the bar. We were pretty tipsy so Gino made sure we got back to my place to sleep it off. I wonder if this might make her new novel?

Mary says she and Seamus are attempting to write a romance novel about New York City together this time. I think that's a very clever idea with both a male and a female perspective as they alternate chapters.

Entertainment
Due to Kate's nasty fall and death, and a few others experiencing difficulties, Rach will set her plays at rest for a while, but they will return.
