Shots
« on: April 28, 2008, 09:51:45 AM »
Well our first heartache happened on Thursday.  Three shots.  Two in the right leg, one in the left.  Poor baby cried as though he was being tortured.  And we get to do it again in two months. -sighs-  I hate it when he hurts.  I know that it is absolutely necessary to prevent some ickiness in the future, like polio, hepatitis B and the flu, but still there is that small risk with the vaccines that he could develop autism, since they have found some linkage between the two things.  Luckily, he had no reaction to the shots.  I don't think he even ran a fever.  But his legs hurt and he was cranky.  B asked off of work so I wasn't going it alone with a cranky baby because of shots.  The next set is in June.  It will probably be just as bad.

Let me know when he takes the syringe from the Dr's hand and slams it into the Dr's forehead.

If he can't reach his forehead, the Dr's right testicle will suffice.

I will have to add a shot of mezcal to his bottle as a reward. *S*

should be glad You got him circumsized at the hospital, i never heard a baby cry so loud in my life....no wait i take that back. caden screamed once when i put him on the examination table, it was about 4 months after he got his penis cut on. now he just clings to me when he sees the nurse. but anyways it's not all horror stories i promise.
