The seduction of Barbara Barton has turned into more than I expected. Last Saturday night Barb, Mary and I all wound up out front waiting for a taxi when we left the Four so we decided to share one. Sensing an interest between Barb and Mary, I offered a night cap at my place and they both readily accepted.
Needless to say, one thing led to another. While I wrapped up my column and faxed it in, they opened a bottle of the same wine we had been drinking all night at the Four, a Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay, Vintner's Reserve 2003. They were already getting to know each other better when I joined them on the sofa in front of the burning fireplace.
Since they were already kissing, I popped in a DVD triple X movie for us to enjoy on my new 46'" flat screen TV mounted over the fireplace. Movies like that sure can speed up seductions and it wasn't long before we were all naked. I simply took Barb's hand, she took Mary's, and I led the daisy chain back to the king sized bed in my bedroom where we frolicked together for hours.
Even the shower together in the morning was fun. During brunch at the Palm Court Sunday morning, Barb said she would host our next sordid affair. She has that huge empty five story brownstone home at 100 East 78th and I could imagine the three of us there chasing each other from floor to floor and from room to room playing hide and seek. Barb promised us delicious surprises and I can hardly wait.
