Homecoming Log
« on: July 09, 2008, 08:02:50 PM »
Entry One

All quiet on the homefront tonight.

Tuchuks are settling their wagons and getting into their daily routines for summer.

The Camp is buzzing about the upcoming festivities that will be occurring within the next few days.

Those with ideas for the festivities should see either Nexhias or Shoko.

Any issues arising regarding Camp should be brought to an active Council Member or Nexhias, whomever is available.

Patrols are still doubled, as are the patrols around the herds.

All in all, Tuchuk is settling in comfortably to the summer lands.

Entry Two.

There has been minimal activity in the camp this night.

However reports of Theft are a cause of Trouble.

The Painters clan Reports the theft of a large amount of Red and Black Paint.

The Seamstresses clan also had some theft, a tin of each Red and Black Dye.

The last item claimed stolen is Raziel's Pink Kailla.

There are five men assinged to finding the Lost Mount.

Entry Three.

The Five Man team assinged to finding the stolen items has gone above and beyond their assinged Duties.

They have not only found the Dye and Paint but also Raziel's Mount.

The paint and dye were found in their proper places.

the Mount was found chained to Raziel's rail.

However the five Man team is now looking for a Vandal.

Raziel's Mount as it seems has been turned into a startling black.

Also The saddle upon the Kailla's back has been made into a Crimson Red.

There have been quite a few who have reported seeing Shoko heading to Her wagon paint splattered and with hands stained red.

These Rumors have neither been Confirmed nor Denied.

Entry Four.

Tonight has been fairly Quiet.

The only outbursts have been from some scuffling kajira, fighting over who will wash a particular FM.

Any kajira caught fighting have been immedietly sent to the animal pens to wash and clean Kialla.

All Suspicion of Shoko for the Vandalisim has been dropped, as She was seen today without a single trace of dye on her hands.

End Entry Four.

Entry Five.

All is well again on the homefront this night.

The five man patrol who had been hunting down the vandal of Raziel's belongings has been doubled.

Fresh Outriders have gone out to relieve those coming in, five botas of water packed along with each to keep heat stroke from setting in.  Patrols remained doubled.  No major issues to report.

Bath Night in Tuchuk was a success.  Most Men bathed semi-willingly, with the aid of kajira; those less willing, were scrubbed with brushes and soapy water by Outriders.  Much cursing was heard.  Free Women enjoyed the hospitality of DRAGONSLAIR, and the slaves the use of the bathing facilities.

Preparations for tomorrow night's festivities have begun.  The dancing pitt has been cleaned and prepared for the girls.  The sparring area has been readied for the Warriors.  A twenty foot wide by fifty foot long swatch of mud south of the Camp has been prepared for what is only being referred to as 'thrall surfing'.  The general consensus is this cannot bode well for the thralls.

Meats have been spiced and will be allowed to marinate overnite before being slowly roasted during the day tomorrow.

The kajirae and kajirus have been advised of their drinking allowance, and a hearty 'thank you!' was hoisted in Ubar's honor for his generousity.

All in all, the peace has been kept this night.  Life is good.

Entry Six

A runner is sent with a message from Commander Raziel on coastal patrol.

No shipwrecks found as of yet.

The weather is nice.

Lots of sand.

Lots of water.

No more rum.

Why is the rum always gone?

End of report.

-Spoting the runner silence takes the report and reads it. She sends the runner backwith lotsa lotsa rum and then takes the report to Mistress Nexhais -

Entry Seven

Tonight, Tuchuk celebrated family and the end of migration!  Drink flowed, girls danced (thank you silence, flame sinn and kiah!), and Tuchuk was brimming with life.  It is expected that the festivities will go on until the wee hours of the morning.  Thralls will be extra sore for the next hand-- they were allowed to show their skills at sparring hand to hand.  Also, they were used for the thrall surfing contest.  Well done lads- well done.

Thanks to all that attended and participated!!

Received report from Raziel.  All is quiet thus far on the coast.

A theft was reported this night.  Several botas of some barbarian drink called 'rum' have been stolen from Arlon's brewing wagon.  Oddly, they disappeared at the same time the runner was sent back to Raziel by the girl silence..

A bonus for Tuchuk:  the return of our Brother Savage this night from his long range patrol!  Welcome Home, Brother.

Patrols remain doubled, as are the patrols around the herds.  Received word from Commander Onx-- a Kataii scout was sighted and captured without incident.  He is being held for questioning.

Tomorrow, duties will resume as per the usual and the Warriors out on long range patrol will have their wagons cleaned and readied for their anticipated return.

Life in Tuchuk is good!

Entry Eight

In the aftermath of last night's celebration, Tuchuk was quiet today.

Many visited the Healers in hopes of something to ease well-earned headaches and nausea.

The Camp has been restored to order after the past night's festivities.  Slaves spent the day cleaning and preparing DRAGONSLAIR, Raziel's and Terran's wagons for their return from patrol, and likewise kajira tended to the wagons of Sidona, Lilac, Kelsey, Amber and Lana, whom have been out tending things on the Outer Circle.

Regarding the recent vandalism of Raziel's mount and saddle- Patrol reports finding a trail of red and black paints that lead toward the wagons this evening.  They have marked off the spot where the last paint smudge was found, and will continue to follow the trail tomorrow when the light is better.

No new activity has been reported from the Outriders.  The Kataii has refused to be cooperative and now wears Tuchuk steel, and is caged.  He has been fed and watered.

Patrol remains doubled around Camp as well as the herds, with guards changing out every six ahn to keep them alert since a Kataii scout was sighed in the area.

On a personal note, Tuchuk has been very forgiving of myself as I test the waters of leadership and responsibility.  For that, I thank thank you all!

Tuchuk anxiously awaits the return of family.
