This Week's Gossip
New York City, the city that never sleeps. For a change, I did last night and Diego was, of course, gone by the time I woke up. I stretched out alone on my bed, enjoying the sunshine pouring through the window. They were forecasting thunder showers for this afternoon or this evening, so I got up, slipped into my sweats, and hurried over to Central Park where Rachel was waiting with Jason Mahoney as our bodyguard.
Rachel said her three days in Boston, followed by Jon coming here to New York City for a concert, has satisfied her inner hungers for at least another few weeks. I reminded her that I was always willing to fill in, but she just laughed and turned me down, as usual.
I said, "Rach, I was referring to the plays," which got another laugh out of her. Speaking of the plays, I sat in the back row beside Tim, where we laughed and laughed at the ad libs in their Get Smart play. Outstanding performances by the entire small cast and Dami was hilarious as the usherette.
Good news!! On Wednesday night the serial rapist and murderer that has terrorized the city for two years was apprehended in the Olympic Theater by Detective Scotty Valens. Detective Lilly Rush used my tip to garner a search warrant and break into Lance Zodic's Brooklyn flat. She found enough evidence to signal Scotty to make the arrest. Several of the missing Big Apple Escorts were then found in a Brooklyn warehouse, along with a few other women. It appears that Zodic was operating a "Girls for Sale" internationally.
The arraignment awaits Zodic finding a law firm willing to support him. My inner circle says that he called Denny Crane of Crane, Poole and Schmidt. Will they be willing to defend him? We'll soon see.
Nicole Andersen, the editor of InStyle magazine, contacted me late Saturday night just as I was writing this column. She has obtained Yvette Beauvais' agreement to do an interview with me for the main article in her August issue. From what Nicole says, a Gucci advertisement using Yvette as the model will preface the article. The article will include a few photos of Yvette on stage at Creative Arts Theatre and be followed by a multi-photo shoot of Yvette in Elite Designs lingerie. Get your copy of the article in the August issued of InStyle magazine before they're all gone!
Entertainment
