This Week's Gossip
As usual, my mystery man Joe Black was gone by the time I woke up last Sunday morning, but the pleasure of his company left me with a delightful little smile. I guess he's worth the aggravation he creates by never telling me where he resides or want he really does for a living.

Our morning run together in Central Park had Rachel, Mary, Tammi and me chatting away about the previous week's happenings. The sudden return of Maddie Cirillo and how fast Ben Bravio was spending every available moment at her side. They were seen having lunch together several times last week.

I had to shove balloons in the bra Rachel gave me to adequately play Ginger in Tuesday night's Friends play in their Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre. The ad libs where quite humorous as usual. It was fun watching James tease Aspen until she finally smacked him. Maddie is back at the Four Seasons tightening up the reigns on the employees and no doubt making plans for entertainment during Samantha Emeris' absence. Brandy Manilow filled in singing at the piano some last week.

There were several new people noticed in New York City this past week. Duran Murphy seemed like a nice Irishman as he chatted me up at the Four Seasons bar. And this sexy Taryn Jade O'Connor will merit some watching. Katie Donovan has been seen hanging around the Four Seasons again too.

Diego took me to the movies Saturday to see The Dark Night. Boy is that Joker scary, but the loss of Heath Ledger is a tragedy. Christian Bale is so cool, I told Diego shamelessly that Bale could park his shoes under my bed anytime. Diego just laughed at me and said there was no way he was renting a Batman outfit just to get in my pants.

After watching the late show, we stopped in the Four Seasons Supper Club for a drink expecting to find a few late night drinkers at the bar. Gino was still there alone behind bar and he said they were busy earlier.

Rachel was there, but Jon Bon Jovi showed up to steal her away. Maddie was also there when Ben Bravio finally showed up late for their date, saying there was a problem with a crane at the Freedom Tower he had to check out before heading over. They slipped off to the booth she reserved, danced to the piano music provided Brandy Manilow, then headed off to her place for what Maddie called "dessert". Dare I use the word "affair" there? Guess I just did!

Of course, Jason and Yvette were  there as usual, also dancing to Brandy's soft, slow, dinner music. Taryn Jade O'Connor did join them at the bar for a while, but she kept ducking in the lady's restroom to change clothes during the night.

NYPD Robbery/Homicide Detective Dara Bertolli, spent the evening at the bar sipping strawberry daiquiris while waiting for somebody. Gino said he kept replacing her drink and eventually a guy named Peter Fitzwell showed up to keep her company, but Gino said that was not who Dara was hoping to show up.

Furio drove us back to Diego's brownstone mansion in the Upper East Side, where I used Diego's computer to finish my column and fax it in to the Times in time for the Sunday edition.

Entertainment
This Tuesday night, August 12th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be dark as Rachel continues to run her plays on alternate weeks.
