Hey here's a recap on the World Series!  Go White Sox!
The game on Saturday was GREAT!  The 5th inning double play that the Astros made was spectacular. The 8th inning pitching for the Sox with Cotts and Jenks was fabulous.  It was totally awesome.  Sox WON....yay!

The second game on Sunday was going good.  We were tied for awhile with the Astros 2-2.  Then the Astros took the lead 4-2.  As I sat there watching, I was thinking that I should of watched 'Desparate Housewives' and 'Grey's Anatomy'.....lol THEN in the bottom of the 7th, we had bases loaded with Pauly coming up to bat.  Of course they go to a commercial and there's my husband with the remote    lol  WELL you know how you guys are with that thing, so I told him....make sure you get back in time.  I want to see Pauly hit a GRAND SLAM!  Needless to say, he got back in time.  Pauly's first swing and I knew he had that GRAND SLAM...woo hoo!
It was SUPER.  A SUPER GRAND SLAM....lol  Sox took the lead 6-4.  I felt better and thought how could I of thought I should of been watching the 'Desparate Housewives' instead...shame on me....but I did tape it   laughs  Then the Astros tied up the game....now it's 6-6.  Oh boy!  It's the bottom of the 9th and I thought oh man....this game will probably go into overtime and I need my beauty sleep....lol  THEN the Sox have 2 outs....and Scott is up.  I thought we were doomed.
But then I said to him....show us what you are worth Scotty and wham....a HOME RUN!  Sox WON 7-6....yay!  Next game Tuesday in Houston.  Will the game change being on their home turf?  Stay tuned fred....lol

firstly, thanks for the play-by-play of the second game of the series.............. As I said. I found out later and watched hi-lites on CNN (international)

but now..............where do I begin, this travelogue?  (puts on my 9 league boots)

brutal flight with NO room
upon arriving..............CULTURE shock and NOT just the music...................was totally unprepared for this trip but learning quickly,  including language..................... ni hao  (hello)

Life, in this BIG city, is bustling...... cars (all using their horns), buses, taxis and bikes everywhere.............but in university district and many of the the younger folks, wants to speak and practice their english on me?  poor teacher that I am?

food is different. again nuttin like one would think it would be like after eating it -- back there?
ate BBQlamb and noodles today at noon meal. really spicy but good.
will go shopping tomorrow for "knockoffs".

(I am presently looking at three (3) elmo's standing in-a-row infront of me.. Videos to follow)

Hey I just wanted to share with you that I saw the most beautiful, most colorful, vibrant RAINBOW this morning....oh man....it was gorgeous!  AND guess what?? It was a DOUBLE RAINBOW....so does that make it a doubly gorgeous rainbow?  lol  Then 10 minutes later....it rained *shakes my head* and mumbles.   It's been raining a lot here, so I think that did something to change the color in the leaves.  They are at their peak!  It's a wonder I stayed on the road this morning driving looking at the rainbows and leaves....lol

I saw the game last night....and since I saw it live.....you are not getting the jump on the score.....nice try.....lol ~hugs~  If it was pre-recorded....now that would be a whole different ball game   I'm glad the Sox WON....but man oh man.....that was a long game!  The longest in World Series history too!  I'll be honest here....in the 11th or 12th inning....I didn't care who won....I just wanted the game to be over so I could go to sleep *yawns*  lol  But I did fall asleep in the 14th inning....I guess I just closed my eyes during a commercial and missed the last two runs?  That's okay....I got my beauty sleep   lol

it rained all last nite and washed ALL the smog away for today.
