my son did three tours of Iraq...the Marine 1/5...and came back home wounded. he is doing well, now, and has found a wonderful woman...smiles...i hope to be able to hold grandchildren soon. i had the honor to carry the ashes of my fathers brother to Minnesota, and was handed his flag. my carryon bag was actually searched on the way back to CA...the emptied shells that the honor guard had fired in his honor alerted the metal detector. when the inspectors found the folded flag and the little bag with the brass casings, they passed me through, and saluted...not to me...but to him, and all like him. if you have HBO, please watch 'Taking Chance'...i cried so much, Art had to hold me for a long time. the homecoming photos of the video were so wonderful, i saw men seeing their babies for the first time at Camp Pendleton, and the proud looks of their wives. we were there for the homecoming of the company, all three times, and we were all one. take care.
