Received a quiva to my foot last night, though the damage wasnt severe. Cleaned the wound with sterile water, used honey to help seal the wound then bandaged it up myself.

Tended to a second degree burn on Mal's arm.  No pain medication given as she didn't want it.

Shylina was also brought in due to dehydration.  She refused to drink any water, so Terran literally hauled her over his shoulder to the medwagon where she was restrained (after trying to escape once) and then I walked Terran through placing an IV into Shy's arm.  She is not happy, and at this point, I do not care, she will learn one way or another to obey healers orders the first time.  She is still afraid of the water.

Shy is drinking...I removed the IV....got her to release some pent up emotions and released her from the med wagon.

I spoke to Tira this night, and have noticed that she wasn't using her left arm, mostly kept it close to her body... When I asked her about what she did to it, she said that it was injured by a larl and has healed, though she hasn't seen a healer about it as it had healed and saw no reason to see one about it, I have suggested to her that she see either Kelsey or Amber, since she isn't able to use it, as the muscles are very tight... I would have examined her but I am on my way to sleep...

*I walk in and check the logs.  Making a few notes in it for Tira and any healer to prescribe*

Give her some routine stretching if it is tight.  Even a hunter knows about atrophy.  The less she uses it, the weaker it will get and develop degenerative tissue "disease".  Meaning, she needs to stretch and work it.  This is common sense for ALL Hunters, especially if you are a successful one.

If she has not come in to see a healer, then that is on her.  The bit about stretching, again, common sense that she needs to work it out.  With our shots of serum, it would be highly unlikely that her wound would deteriorate.  If it healed, then it healed, the rest is on her.

I spoke to Tira tonight... and passed on Raziels words about the streching for the hand to keep the muscles from atrophy....

well I was brushed off with her words that she had been doing just that in the privacy of her own wagon...

I did not press the issue... I am but a simple healer... I can offer my services... and give advice, but it is ultemately up to her if she listenens...

*shrugs*  If you passed on the notes then you did as much as you could do.

You can lead a kaiila to water, but you cant make her drink.  So if the kaiila doesnt drink and is shot because it is lame and sick, then hey, new meat is on the menu.

Shoko...you did well.

Her file is noted that she was given instruction for her hand and arm.

It has come to my attention that risky has forgotten to eat or drink much water in the past few days... I have her doing strictly her studies for tonight, and have told her that I will be checking to see that she has been eating as she should, and that she always has a bota of water on her at all times, with water still in it... I also will have george keeping an eye on her as well...

Feed and hydrate her intravenously.  Then you dont have to worry about restricting her duties.

risky was treated for a broken arm, I set it and then splinted it... She was also given willow bark tea at first to help with the pain, and later I had george give her some willow bark to chew on to ease the pain, while she's staked before the commissary ramp

Dressed many sprains with bandaging and moss paste
Dressed minor cuts with honey and bandaging once the wounds were cleaned with sterile water
Stitched a wound to a warriors bitten-off ear, dressed it with agrimony salve to prevent infection and taped a bandage over the stitching.

Assisted Raz with Surgery....

just a bit... kinda sorta...

but then did close up for him as he had to scoot off to bed.

the young warrior had a metal rod inserted into his leg to replace(?) a shattered bone in his leg, and since it needs opening up for the next few days to look at it, I closed it with simple stiches, just enough to keep the flesh closed and to keep infection out.

she worked on a lad that had a lance wound, the bleeding wouldnt stop so she used black pepper and pressed on it with a cloth, once the bleeding had stopped she cleaned the wound out and packed with blue grass and almanery she then stitched closed and bandaged up then gave him willow bark tea for the pain
