Well, I finally have a diagnosis for my knee condition, which is now in BOTH knees, which means, I'm a very very grumbly bear.
The PLUS is that it's treatable without surgery, though that is the ultimate answer, although I'm told I'm too young for the surgery. WTF? I have to be like 70-ish and dragging myself in a wheelchair? But yeah, too young. So, in the meantime, I have bought stock in the manufacturers of glucosamine and chondroitin supplements, and --- after the holidays --- will be on a very strict diet that Tony had been on for his gout. This lovely condition is gout-like in behavior and fills my knees with pretty little crystals of uric acid.
Last night, watching one of my favorite shows -- "House", I threw my pillows at the TV telling them to give the man his vicodin! Dammit! And me too.
Some days the pain isn't too terrible, which pleases my boss. ~lol~ He has faced the Wrath of Rattt too many times during this ordeal.
And dear Tony has given me a surprise for Christmas, which, isn't a surprise anymore coz I had to make sure I could get some time off, plus do the driving to the airport, but ----------- my youngest daughter is coming home for Christmas.
Except she's preggers and pukey. And I'm grumbly and gimpy. What a fine pair, yes?
I think I may need to find Tony a temporary home for that week Amanda is home.
Anyway, I've been trying to get myself back into the whole roleplay thing. I'm finding it hard to do on many levels. Then again, I can't seem to bear more than a few minutes sitting at my desk lately before I have to shut down my computer and curl up with my ice packs and Alleve bottle and the handy dandy massager I got for my birthday and jars of Icey Hot that stink up the place .... and begin the battle of trying to get in at least two hours of sleep before the new day arrives.
Just in case I don't make it back on before the holidays, I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, be it Chanuka, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or whatever "holiday" is celebrated.
May everyone enjoy a time of peace and joy.
With love,
the bear xoxoxoxoxo
