Sad part is, I actually know someone who admitted they named their daughter this... but the middle name was Shandra... Full name was Krystal Shandra Leer... I might add, mom was a bit of an odd ball, at least dad did after to allow her to change her name when she was old enough to understand what the name meant... ~shakes my head~ she never changed it, as she thought it was unique

Speaking of alternate spellings/variations of names, one of my sisters was named kind of in honor of Jasmine from Aladdin, but her name is Jazlynne.
