Greeting

•At any given time, role-plays might be occurring simultaneously in several different areas in camp; for example, at the main fire, in the Medical Wagon, and down by the river. In order to keep disruptions to a minimum, the following protocols should be followed:

When Entering Camp In Character-

All initial greetings are to be done in PM to allow for less flooding of the room with greetings.

For Free People- Tuchuk is family. Free should also greet family in PM.

For Slaves- they need to post an entry post, establishing their position in camp BEFORE greeting each Free in PM. Personally owned slaves may want to start with their owner, but there is no particular greeting order to follow.

We ask the owners of PM restricted slaves to allow the greetings to be an exception to the restriction.

Greeting back should also be done in PM.

*Public greetings may be given when encountering each other during roleplay.

When Entering Camp Out of Character-

The same protocols should be followed by out of character as in character, especially if there is role play going on.  The only difference is that there would be no entry post for the slaves.

Again, the point is to not disrupt roleplay that may be occurring within the room. This is to allow for a more seamless flow to the roleplay we all come here to enjoy.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THERE ARE 2 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM OR TWENTY, ALL GREETINGS SHOULD BE DONE IN PM!!

**AS OF August 17, 2009, THERE IS NO FORMAL GREETING ORDER TO BE USED DURING SPECIAL OCCASSIONS.  THE SAME PROTOCOLS OUTLINED ABOVE SHOULD BE USED.

•Then you would offer service to the frees around the campfire per the serving order already laid out on our pages, like so:

slave
{MTC}
says to Council Master X: *heated gaze sweeping those gathered at the campfire to settle upon you with the brazen boldness of a woman who is well used to serving the needs of men, I saunter toward your fireside furs to sink down before you... my thighs sweep wide, symbolically rendering me helpless and open to your whims, though the flap of my chatka falls between my parted legs and conceals the enslaved intimacies beneath....My hands fall palms down, rubbing at the soft flesh of my upper thighs almost unconsciously....* Greetings, Master... May this slave serve your needs this evening?

•Each person at the fire would be offered service per our serving order, and an individual greeting would be given along with each offer of service. Please Note: Greeting order does NOT determine the order in which our members are to be SERVED. As of 11/10/2004, serving order is as follows:
    • Personal owner, if any
    • Ubar
    • Ubara
    • Free men of Council
    • Ubars and Camp Seconds of other homes, if any are present
    • Free women of Council
    • Ubaras of other homes, if any are present
    • All other men of our home
    • All other women of our home
    • Visiting men
    • Visiting women
•If other slaves are serving and you never get to greet some of the frees individually, no problem -- you gave a blanket greeting at the beginning. (Chances are that most free persons will speak to you even if you're not the one to offer service. In that case, you can reply with your own hello at that time.)

•Now, let us imagine that everyone at the fireside has been served, and you decide to wander off to the Medical Wagon to take inventory. Inside the wagon, you find five more free people. The process simply starts over.

•"Greetings all" is never acceptable, even when offering OOC mass greetings.

•Please note that as of 8/10/07, a formal greeting order will only be used during those special occassions when all free persons are gathered together in Dragonslair. Please see the Formal Greeting pages which outline not only the formal order, but also how to enter the Ubar's wagon

•Slaves will also be well aware of who is and isn't on Council. Most Council members will wear such in their tags. Those who do not will wear the lime green facial scar, if male, or the lime green nose ring bead, if female. Council members are listed on our MTC Members Roster. However, for ease of reference, the list will be placed here, as well. As of 04/30/2005, MTC Council members are as follows:
    • Ragnar
    • Raziel - Council Oralu
    • Terran - Council Oralu
    • Lilac - First Scribe
    • NightStorm - Elder Woman
    • Sidona - First Slaver
•All free persons will be addressed by the kajirae of this camp as Master or Mistress. Per the books of Gor, kajirae will not call a Master or Mistress by name, an act which shows respect for the title and status of free persons.

•All slaves of MTC, whether privately or camp owned, will wait to greet all non-MTC members (be they Honored Guests, known Visitors, or unknown Visitors) until a free member of MTC has first greeted the Visitor and the Visitor has openly stated that he or she comes to camp in peace.

•IF THERE IS ANY QUESTION IN A SLAVE’S MIND ABOUT A VISITOR: slaves need to exercise caution and watch for signs of potential raids. Therefore, if there is any question as to whether or not the Visitor is friendly, request to PM a free member of camp and then question respectfully if the Visitor is friendly or not. Greeting a Visitor, even one known to a slave, could very well mean sitting in a cage of another home as prize raid booty.

•All slaves of MTC, whether privately owned or camp owned, when finding themselves alone in camp, should approach a Visitor with caution. Slaves should acknowledge the presence of a Visitor and greet, stating: "(name of slave) hopes the Visitor comes in peace, and if said Visitor does not openly acknowledge peacefulness, then (name of slave) will head to the cages and lock herself/himself in." ******NO MATTER HOW WELL THE SLAVES KNOW THE VISITOR, THIS RULE IS TO BE FOLLOWED AT ALL TIMES*****
