Each training level has its own particular requirements which must be met by being an active and frequent participant in camp role-play, demonstrating proficiency through chores and/or serving, and passing pre-tests and tests. Slaves are NOT expected to be perfect until the pagar or senior thrall level has been reached. Even then, the learning process never ends. The slave who stops growing and learning is the slave who ceases to feel his or her belly.
